Not DS graphics, those are closer to GBA and PSX graphics. Notice how the textures bend a little bit when you pass them. That's usually seen in 3D GBA games and PSX games.

It's designed for Sony Ericsson mobiles (like K700i) (Java3D and Mascot V3). The refresh rate is 15 frame/second. (Paris is a big city.) With the new Sony Ericsson mobiles (like K800i) the refresh rate is greater like 25 frame/second.
