  • whats with the music

    ? !!

  • so wait... if its 3x3x3 and there are three colors.... wouldnt that be 3x3x3x3??? and those three colors in combinations can make up 27 colors each.... so wouldnt it be 3x3x3x3x3x3x3?????

  • @legoclockfreak710 No . MultiColor LED for MultiColored cube (sorry bad english :) . ) Like this : bit ly qMTlNb

  • wow o.O

    I am Brazilian ,

respond in Portuguese or English, of your choice

Okay Thank you very much !!!

  • i want this circuit diagram. can u provide me?

  • Not gonna pay $60 for only a 3x3. I'd also like the challenge of doing it from scratch, not from a kit that comes with the software.

  • it's a rave light lol

  • I want one

  • can you display different colours at the same time or is it all just multiplexing?

  • Awesome I want to make one but know next to nothing about electronics. Is this something a beginner could build?

  • @mkultra2300 try just a normal 3x3 first, not a red green blue led, its a hell of alot simpler they only have two pins on a single colour led, on the three colour ones there are four!

  • whta's the name of the song?????

  • Comment removed

  • awesome

  • what music???))

  • @TheStarlaki Look in the description

  • @nintendoatarikiller Has already found )))))

  • @huntmutt solder

  • wow it is great!!! could you give me a schematic and the program of chip, please???

  • But where I can buy it? it doesn't matter if I need to pregram it

  • i need it !!!!!

  • very good

  • MIIINI RAAAVVVVEEEE

  • holy shit this is awsomees 3 by 3 ever

  • Whoa. Just... Whoa :P

Ow and this is done be adjusting the primary colours: R, G and B so that the colours mix and then you get other colours. It works a bit like the TV :P

  • Rave cube!

  • ubieramy sie, bierzemy ten sprzet, i jedziemy do medżika

  • ahh yes Sandstorm makes everything awsome

  • do you have to program the chip? im not new to electronics but i am to programming

  • @russianradical If you buy the kit the microcontroller is preprogrammed.

  • @russianradical they sell these , he just hacked one.

  • @russianradical yes you program it with your computer

  • dude how in the heck could 28 ppl not like this!

  • hahhahahaahah i love that song lol

  • would like to have them under my boat .. ;P

  • 0:26 epic

  • Thumbs up if you got an eliptical seizure after watching this.

  • I WANT THISS !! (and yes I read the discription so I know where to buy!!!)

LOVE THIS ! but i have a question... does this like adapt to the song, or do i have to make a program or like what?!?!

how does it know which music i'm playing?!

for anyone anwsering, thnxxx ! I really like to know.

  • @BubblePowerBoy If you go to the LED cube page on embeddedmicro (link in description) you can find the code for a plugin that runs on your computer and can control the cube over serial. The plugin analyzes any sounds being played and generates a visualization off that.

To do this you will need to reprogram the AVR and be running linux. This video does not use the plugin but I have others up that do look for pulse audio plugin.

  • @BubblePowerBoy it is also possible to programm it for windows, for example with "processing"

  • Twenty Seven LEDs and a show with good music. Definedly like.

  • thumbs up if you're sick of this song

  • woa nice! stay psychedelic!

arduino may make this easier right?

  • i watched this vid more then 10 times its just great

  • OMG i had this song stuck in my head than i clicked on this video and it was that song!!!

  • @mailmanbam sandstorm from darude :D

  • shite "music"

  • Please tell me how to chance colour of led. What do you use ?

i want to make one led the same, plz show me how to do this,

    My email : duclinh001@gmail.com

    tks all

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh spaz attack

  • ugh...darude - sandstorm again? when will people stop using this stupid song. Awesome LED cube though.

knowing that it is multiplexed, how much can I rise the curren of the leds?? thank you

  • AMAIZING!!!.....Coolest thing e ever seen!!!!

  • BGR,,,

    how about yellow LED

  • sweet, sandstorm!

  • If I was stoned, and this video was 10 minutes long, I would have favorited it.

  • ...

    :D

  • they should make a rubix cube of it!~

  • @ GuitarGhos123: my brother has an electronic cube, called an Orbyx.... VERY hard at level 5 or 6 (don't remember how far it goes)

A real nice touch to a rubix cube of the thing in the vid is to make one that, when you're not fast enough, throws you back to the state when you started trying to solve the thing ;)

  • I love that song! my husband likes to listen to it in the car. Techno is his "driving music"

  • maybe the coolest thing i ever seen

  • no six colors

  • cool!

  • is that right 3 colors in one LED

  • @bestamerica yes you can get tricolour led's

  • @bestamerica it is called RGB LED

  • Avatar15n,

    '

    okay thank

  • whats the song?

  • @valiantpaladin1881

    darude - sand storm

  • Darude - Sandstorm ;)

  • @valiantpaladin1881 Darude - Sandstorm

  • sandstorm, from darude

  • @SerAzazello : darude - sandstorm

  • awesome!

  • that the music is playing in this vidio?

  • awesome can you send me full project details so that i will try this project

  • cool looks like fun

  • Thank you

  • Page won't allow posting a new comment - doh!

Anyway - the kits use an ATmega168. I just built one of these Embeddedmicro kits that I got from Makershed.

Works great but I can't reprogram it. Can't get the ISP to work. Have tried 2 different programmers! Some have suggested the ATmega fuses might be all messed up? Has anyone else tried to reprogram one of these via the ISP on the PCB?

  • Got the kit from Sparkfun - not Makershed. Shame there doesn't seem to be a support forum anywhere for these. I think my best bet will be to start with a fresh ATmega168. This is the first time I've used anything AVR, and it has not been successful. I'm usually a PIC guy.

  • i love the atmega micro controllers. they are so simple to program.

  • We the title of the music?

  • @peter1995vani

    sandstorm by darude

  • *gasp* It's... RGB! I made a 4^3 cube with green LEDs, it won't be as stunning as this but will still make a nice visual aid for... something.

  • wow thay are cool like a mini disco

  • wooow rgb leds übertrifft halt alles und des no imme cube....

meiner hett au rgb aba 16x16x16

  • so could someone please tell me what i need to make one of these i really wana give it a go

    cheers

  • Check the link in the description. SparkFun sells them as kits now.

  • @MoDKinG100 - try makershed. ( com ) they sell Arduinos ... u can use them 2 program the LEDs to blink when u want them 2..its an easy language and it has an amazingly large community!

  • owesome

  • cool

  • wuauuuuuuuuuuuuu bien

  • yay wanna set up my xmass lights?

  • I'm seeking a simple circuit that will cause a string of LEDs in parallel to flicker between 70-100% current randomly, as in a lightsaber. What's the cheapest way I could do that? Or are there any products out there that would allow me to do that?

  • You could just get a small micro (any 8-pin one should work) and program it to do PWM on one pin that varies between 70-100%. Then take the output and amplify it with a transistor which is connected to the LED. You would only need 3-4 parts not including the LED and accompanying resistors.

  • Seeeeend theeeee cooooooode

  • The code is available on my site. See the description for a link.

  • Wow thanks that's really neat. I bought 100 rainbow LEDs and an Arduino MC. Their not as useful as RGB ones but were cheaper! Gonna try to make a christmas tree 6x6LED. Thanks for the sample code!

  • this almost the same as christmas tree lights but nice

  • :O NEAT!

  • can you tell me please the name of the song and where could i buy parts fot a cube like that cuz i want to make one myself

  • I believe it's darude, sandstorm

  • :p yes, it is, and it's also in the description, along with where you can buy the kit for it. you and I both need to start reading those things.

  • Read the description.

  • "SANDSTORM" is the name of the song. search for it on itunes. and to buy the parts, well, see the link in the description of this video!

  • hey itz really nice can i ask you where did you buy it that i can buy it too. did you order it or what

  • This was my original cube, I made it myself. However, I now sell them though Sparkfun. They should have them on their site in about a week.

  • Cute lil' guy aint' he! And the colors are so juicy and vivid! I love LEDs for that.

  • WOW!

    That was SO cool!

I used to like tinkering around with LEDs when I was younger but just soldering 3 LEDs that works properly together in a row took me two days. XD

  • i used a jig

  • SPOKO JEST

  • good music sync

  • I like how the music plays the little cube up

Its like a Roller Rink in there

  • Very nice!

  • SE VE MUY BIEN ESPERO EL DE 16 X16X16

  • omg so cool!

    i luv LED

  • Nice work. I did a similar project with an atmega 8. A 6x8 LED matrix with green, yellow and red LEDS. I still have to do a programm for show some little text.

  • Great song choice. Cube is a small array but thats ok. Nice work!

  • Do you think can ppl buy these anywhere yet? :)

  • how do u get them to cange colour like that

  • Each LED has three LEDs in it, red, green, and blue. By changing which ones are on and how bright they are you can make basically any color. It's the same concept a LCD monitor uses, there are actually three subpixels for every pixel.

  • Great !!! :D

  • thx

  • what the song?

  • it's "Da Rude - Sandstorm".

  • Can you send me the .hex .c file that you are using for the PIC6777?

  • wow dude thats mint!!! Gud Job!!!

  • can someone plz tell me what this is called, and by that i mean like ex. ledding or lightingmods or something

  • omfg i wanna make one

  • wow...te quedo muy bien esas luces con colores

a en mi punto de vista, esta excelente

  • Very bad ass.

Can this be done on an Arduino

  • Probably, the newer versions use an AVR. The only issue would be IO pins, you need at least 18. You can get away with only 14 if you use a multiplexer.

  • esta excelente!! te salio muy bien la secuencia =)
