My father Vernon Keezer was a pilot and mechanic and started a DC-3 that had sat for years on skis just outiside the town of Bethel, Alaska , about 1969. because it was summer and the plane had taxied there in winter , it had to be loaded on a truck and taken back to the airport.
i stood outside watching as he yelled clear hot! from the port window, and contact! as the starboard and port engines fired. Was a sight i never forgot. Thanks for showing what is involved in starting a DC-3.
