Hence, there is not a single range country where it is legal to keep a slow loris as a pet (or to catch them to be exported as pets). To state the obvious, this includes Vietnam, Cambodia, China and Laos, countries where the pygmy slow loris (like the one seen in the video) occurs. Hence this woman is something that is illegal

There is no list of animals that should be kept as pets and animals that should not, either way you are keeping an animal to yourself and caring for it when it could be in the wild, it doesn't matter what species or if it's endangered. I have 3 dogs 4 cats a python and 2 birds. Could they be living in the wild right now? Of course. @Gritzaable If you'd seen the programme you'd be aware that whilst they may be able to breed them in captivity, because it's thought that the toxins they produce protecting them from predators, bug infestations amongst other things, are achieved by eating other poisonous creatures/vegetation, if they were reared in captivity they wouldn't last 5 minutes in the wild as they wouldn't have their poisonous protection.

Whats the difference between keeping one of these and snakes, lizards, spiders, fish and cats? I understand dogs completed because you can actually train them. That poor creature is terrified. Taken from it's natural habitat, never with it's own kind. They only move at night because they HATE white light, it hurts their eyes. Have you taken it to a vet to see what state it's mouth is in , having had it's teeth cut out. Most of them are in pain for the rest of their lives. For pity's sake, give it to the RSPCA so they can check it out.

No because dogs have been captive bred for hundreds of years, maybe if you give this a chance and i'm not saying i agree with it but it will prob be another great pet. all animals "were" wild however now due to us it is not and you wouldn't be here if you understood the context of this trade and how our world works. think about snakes, they're kept as pets but people say its right because it is common!

@Gritzaable If you'd seen the programme you'd be aware that whilst they may be able to breed them in captivity, because it's thought that the toxins they produce protecting them from predators, bug infestations amongst other things, are achieved by eating other poisonous creatures/vegetation, if they were reared in captivity they wouldn't last 5 minutes in the wild as they wouldn't have their poisonous protection.

If you call being 'loved and well cared for' being ripped out of your natural habitat, having your front teeth brutally ripped out and then being kept in a tiny box on an illegal indonesian market then you need your head testing, these creatures were doing fine in the wild, but many of them die from infections from having their teeth pulled so they can be 'pets' - so what is loving and caring about that? people who want these as pets are causing them to become extinct.
