But when i look up left-hand path on wikiepedia, it just sjowns a picture of Baphomet, a.k.a Satan, and when i searhc internet for left-hand path, it just says its another name for Satanism. The left-hand tantric path sure looks to include a lot of blood, from what i've read.

Does Kali ALWAYS have to be worshipped with blood sacrifices? my wife is Sri Lankan (i'm Enlgish), and her family have a Kali shrine room. But she says she has never killed an animal to Kali.

Absolutly not, Kali does not represent the unmanageable. Kali is a terryfying goddess,but her devotees seek and find reassurance in her by approaching and addressing her as "Mother". in so doing, the human devotee taps in to sensibilities that can not help but be nurturing.however out of control she may be, the cry of "Ma"(Mother) calms her down, makes her receptive to the needs of her children, and makes her want to satisfy their prayers.

In Mahanirvana tantra the sacchidananda aspect of Maha Devi, says "Oh My Beloved, he who kills animals for self satisfaction will dwell in a terrible Hell for as many days as there are hairs on the body of the animal." these utterances clearly show that the Goddess has nowhere ordained slaughtering animals and eating their flesh.

Then why are there videos on YouTube of people ritually killing animals for Kali? And at least 5 different Hindu people have warned me to be very careful and beware and take precautions, because my wife's family could kill me as an offering to Kali?

This is truly absurd. Problem is with peoples minds, gods and goddesses of tantra as specialized aspects of ourselves and, therefore, of life itself. Supreme Goddess Kali, emanated from Durga. in order to slay the demon dark forces. There is two sides of a coin, dark and bright, Kali, certainly in the left hand tantrik tradition, is subject to much misunderstanding. Sacrifice doesnt mean to slay animals or humans. She is pure sattvas, pure spirit. She doesnt support any blood sacrifices This supreme goddess can be worshiped in any of ten forms for the fruition of desires.
