I did not, just the cockpit. If you do it you may be able to save some weight but only a few grams (maybe 5g or so). It may help with some internal linkages however.
@mattnsim I would consider the conversion intermediate to advanced as any scratch built plane would be. The critical thing here is to keep the weight down as the wing area is small and the wing loading will go up quickly. As for flying it, if you keep it light and slow it could be for a beginner but once the weight and the speed goes up I would call it advanced. It gets small in a hurry and can be very maneuverable.
@bdelapen well success.. i converted mine to a slope soarer. It is the most fun i have had in rc ever! great fun, very stable for such a small plane and makes a great combat glider. I love it.
The piece is an original written and recorded by my cousin Juan Claudio (Jonny) called Lluvia en la Noche (rain at night). You can find out more about him by following the links I have added to the description of the video.

would you regard this model as intermediate skill level? I have one and I have thought of doing conversions to it.

@bdelapen did u hollow out the fuselage? I would consider cutting it in half and then carving out foam until about 1cm of wall thickness remained.
