I guess boosting into that first boss is like attacking the Wii version's first boss with LASER!? (Wisps DO deal extra damage to bosses.... and boosting in one specific case that is a spoiler to go into detail about)
WHOA. Found an error in the very first cutscene. Apparently the green (hover) wisp is Wii only. It appears in that cutscene. (best visible at 0:01:30)
@MrPwn4cash You don't know anything. DS was hold right to win while the Wii version could kill you for doing that. The wisps suck for the most part on the DS version, as they are forced the whole time. The Wii version made the optional wisps better, so they weren't a crappy forced gimmick.
@fgysajknzxcn that deserves a slap, saying a game is better because it is "3d" is like saying, "im 6 years old, and I clearly know nothing about gameplay." the Wii version is basically a rehash of the daytime sonic unleashed controls, its good but its not a real sonic game, you can hold one button and simply move ur thumb till the levels over, ds version = better wisps, and more usage of them, the Wii version almost never forces you to use wisps
you've got to be trolling. Sonic games are about GOING FAST. That makes Sonic Colours a lot more "real" than some of the other games! (I know it wasn't going fast all the time, even as early as the first game, but...)
And the Wii version DOES force you to use the wisps quite a bit - Super Sonic actually causes level changes in some levels to account for the fact he can't use them!)
I prefer the Wii version overall, but there are some things I definitely like better about this version. Most of all, Violet Void is way better than Purple Frenzy.
in sonic colours Wii i wish collecting emeralds was that easy, just collecting orbs, instead of going to every area and collecting all the red rings, and beating the simulator stages.
If you want a more "up to date" Sonic game (or enjoyed Sonic Unleashed's day levels), get the Wii version.
If you enjoyed Sonic Rush series (or other 2D Sonic games and/or Sonic Advance), get the DS version (if you ask me, Sonic Colors DS is pretty much Sonic Rush 3 in disguise. No tricks though.)
...Too bad it doesn't have the PA system that the Wii version does (seriously, have you HEARD some of those lines?)

How the fuck is Wii Colors not a real Sonic game but "Rush 3 with Wisps" is? So Sonic Generations isn't a real Sonic game, right?
"you can hold one button and simply move ur thumb till the levels ove"
Did you even play the fucking game?!
"ds version = better wisps"
Bullshit.
"the Wii version almost never forces you to use wisps"
HOW IS THAT A BAD THING, DUMB ASS?!

The one for Wii is better because it is in 3d instead of 2d.

Didn't realize how different it would look on the DS. Still looks awesome though, brings back memories of 2D sonic games. Amazing longplay!
