  • Someone please buy me one?

  • Before the iPad

  • hammaaaaaaa ich behinderttttttttttttttt :D

  • Instead of 900$ on this thing spend it on an iPhone/Pod/Pad and get the free app. Yeah better deal mate.

  • Have the same fun for free! lab.andre-michelle. com/tonematrix

  • looks okay, but so not worth like the £800 it retails for. if your into music production think of what you could spend £800 on as opposed to that. there are similar ios apps, that only cost 69p. common sense.

  • this song is used by a german tv ad...

  • is anyone else reminded of Yoshis story?

  • This shit is like a thousand bucks! :( i'm a broke college student haha

  • Nortec Collective

  • this device is pure genius just the purest genius

  • I'm going to be raping my bank account this christmas...

  • This is too cool, I'm saving up.. :D

  • Beauty from Hatred

  • Beautiful instrument the electro sounds are great, Yamaha have an app on the apple app store... But the real product would be nice to have but yh it's pricey.

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

  • This is how composing Anthems should have been in Spore.

    Damn EA rushing things.

  • Why only 240p?

    :c

  • @Chango5455 Because it's a video from 2007.

  • @WolfosDotOrg

    Owww Ok Thanks!

  • I can do this with my iPad and the Beatwave app.

  • It's Angels & Airwaves in a box!

  • Is this worth getting?

  • I remember how cool this thing was back in 2007. Now it looks like a peace of junk, and someone could probably just make a tenori-on app for phones...

  • @TheXRealXBrapp Already done.

  • I listen to this so many times when I come here. It's so cool sounding.

  • This thing looked like a toy and it nearly gave me a seisure

  • nortec machine!

  • soooooooo expensive... and yet i still want one.

  • The Tenori-on can actually be used to create seriously beautyful music!

    A living proof:

    youtube.com/watch?v=sMeH1xkYc1E

  • Imagine having about 8 of these, each playing a different part of a song. Can you say awesage?!

  • i love this thing ! i want one !

  • i'm using the ipad version now and i gotta say.this thing is worth it. you can import your own sounds on the the physical version, the ipad version can't import yet. but don't think of this as some sort of sequencer or synth it's a bit more than that.

  • im only confused you can get this on a computer when u make a beat right?????//

  • How much do you want to bet an Asian guy created this.

  • @cal352 Zero money. "designed and created by Japanese artist Toshio Iwai and Yu Nishibori of the Music and Human Interface Group, Yamaha Center for Advanced Sound Technology" (wikipedia)

  • DS + Electroplankton = Same thing, hella cheaper.

Electroplankton was "made" by the same guy that made this.

  • @kibijit Really? I thought about Electroplankton when I played this...

    ...

    ...

    OMG I'M A GENIUS!

  • Fucking take some LSD and play that Lights Out game, same shit, fraction of the price

  • little confused, where is this thing used? use it at home or public place. I dont think i need this little bling thing in my house. it looks like portable scale, yet i dont think i want to use it in public places..

  • An interesting but hugely overpriced toy from Japan.... you had me @ 250-300 USD...

but $999?! are you fucking kidding?! forget it....

I can buy 3 or 4 similar Korg products for the same amount of cash and NOT have all my music sound like a soundtrack from a Super Nintendo circa 1992

Wake up and drop the price Yamaha.... this is the North American market, not InsAne jApaNese mArkEt... :|

  • brilliant but confusing. my brain hurts.

  • lol only 999 euro

  • For $800 this thing best have a dick-sucking portion to it, or i'm out.

  • uaaaauuu! fantastish- elastish!

  • 320 people got a bluescreen while watching.

  • @JosuaIsThere then how did they rate the video?

  • so this is where the porn musics come from 0_o

  • Isnt this a monome?

  • Pandora used this xD

  • GIMME !!!!!!

  • inudge.net :))

  • WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T THIS COME OUT WHEN I WAS A KID????

  • @noxmusiq Actually they've had this since 1952. It's derived from an alien universal translater they reverse engineered at Area 51. Funny thing they don't realize, the aliens got the idea from Marcel Marceau. But, it only works well if you have five hands with twenty fingers on each hand . Human hands can only make simple melodies with it, so we market it as a musical interface. Go figure.

  • so shitty

  • Comment removed

  • Can I have a whole CD of this stuff please?

  • holy shit, is like playing

  • so pretty ::D

  • Comment removed

  • Cage, you told us so.

  • Cage, you told us so.

  • Wow just what we need another mind numbing toy for christmas !

  • i dont understand this device

  • @IsmailSalah96 "sequencer" ?

  • once the price comes down i would really really really really like to see this distributed to elementary school level music courses. i'm pretty sure it would be better received by the students than those stupid plastic recorders, not that they are any less important...

  • I'm not aiming to be a party pooper or anything, but can't you guitarists out there pull something similar off on your Boss DD-6? I'm no Luddist by any means, but this is just a little over the top for me. Interesting, but still a silly little gadget nonetheless.....

  • cuantos sonidos puede producir este artefacto ??

  • sounds bjorkish : )

  • @TheBilleaux

the bjork'sih sound your prob thinking of is made with the REACTABLE :]]]]]]]

  • @Gymnophoria1 nooo i mean that the sound it makes could be easily used as music for bjork.. i know about the reactable.. : )

  • @TheBilleaux

oh if thats what you meant .... wurd

    haha:]

i like her song oceania, venus as a boy and earth intruders. + all of the other songs too lol

  • @Gymnophoria1 i love all of her songs.. one by one... : P haha i'm a bjorkaholic

  • lol i really need somebody to talk to really bored today

  • @sweetjenna15

msg me if you want to talk about anything - mylittleblackbook@live.ca [also to anybody who happens to read this cause if your watching this youre really awesome;]

  • Epic Win anybody?

  • Christ, imagine the manual on that thing..

  • @weguess no kidding................I've got so many soft synth tech manuals I'll never run out of reading material.

  • @weguess I have said manual and, surprisingly, it's pretty easy to understand.

  • ¡Qué cacharro tan absurdo!

  • was this in the movie CYRUS???

  • good for epileptik man...

  • Typical person's reaction: Fucking awesome!!! *goes to amazon* $800 starting price D:

  • This is good for bushmen tribe in Botswana.

  • leave it up to the japanese... kinda cool tho

  • DO WANT.

  • I would buy an iPad app.

since this is real copy of iPad app...

  • @okhabin name of the app?

  • @peppyelvis there's many. one, Tonepad?

  • if you're taking that much time to learn which blinking buttons you have to press, learn a goddamn musical instrument or use a laptop

  • @rafaelnelvam faaaaaaaagggggggggggot

  • @rafaelnelvam this video is 3 years old, you dirty whore.

  • @thaatxboss so?

  • @rafaelnelvam What makes it less than the "real" musical instruments?

  • @Microja nothing. that's my point. it's just more colorful and shiny than "real" instruments, but people buy it thinking it would be something new. it doesn't make any different sounds from any synthesiser, and I doubt it's more practical than a MIDI controller

  • FUCK YOU EPILEPSY

  • O.O . . . speechless

  • bjork typa shit

  • I use one of these in my band!

  • idk what this does but its shiny and i want one

  • That shit would give people with epilepsy a seizure.

  • Amazing device, but frankly waaaayyyyy too expensive. And frankly, is it even "Made in Japan" or just more slave labor from China that costs as much to make as a kid's light up toy?

  • amazing

  • You shoulda saw me through the whole video... I was mesmerized through the whole thing like a baby watching someone blow bubbles with their bubblegum! :O

  • well its sure fun and i could imagine making some happy elektro with it like the postal service and owl city do... but for FUCKIN ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS its just ridiculously useless :DDD id get one moog lil phatty and one korg r3 for that and would still have some bucks left to buy me a sandwich at subway!

  • Haha, Roy was using one of these things in an episode of "The IT Crowd"

  • How do u know which button to use?

  • nortec use this in their music !!

  • I think this has been replaced now by a number of other devices.

  • meh..... could easily be replaced with software...theres no need to waste money on that kind of hardware..

  • ACID !!!

  • This looks WAY too complicating to use! But I think it has some good potential. I wouldn't call it a musical "instrument". It's more like a software or a looper.

  • WOW WONDERFUL!!

  • Little Boots uses this

  • I tested it at Music Store. It looks so easy, but it's f***ing complicated to control. most of the time it sounds like crap. And there is no use for it in "normal" music (at least I would not buy music like that). So it's just a lot of money for a well-designed toy. Just like the iPad.

  • @EvilOverlord96 it doesn't look easy. i'd say it looks f***fucking complicated to control.

  • @EvilOverlord96 Ha! Well said...

  • @EvilOverlord96 O yeah? Hans Zimmer used it in live performance of The Dark Knight!

  • that doesn't make this thing ANY more useful. It's just some kind of MIDI controller. And there are better ones for any purpose.

  • 800 is a retarded price for this. its application seems pretty limited for the price.

  • This is only $800? This company is cheating itself out of money. This is a million-dollar product.

  • lol if anyone wants one, get an ipad and get beatwave for free...

  • i want one

  • how do you remember what all the button do?? but looks like fun

  • up to about 1:05 is an absolute tune!

  • why ppl want this thing??

i do not know what is it for...

does it have anything special ?? apart of those crazy lights and that horrible noise?!

  • That is remarkable1 Learning how to use it like that would be even crazier. And eventually the price will be much lower...cant wait!

  • my pants feel a little damp...

  • Best to make shit music and loose 800 bucks <3

  • how does it even work?! i think my mind just imploded.

  • I can't really understand how this is different to the monome... is the only difference that the monome is programmable? So you wouldn't necessarily have to use it as a sequencer, even though most people do.

  • random music again, that sucks

  • for 800 bucks it better have a dick sucking port or i'm out

  • Comment removed

  • @peterschmeltzer Yep, you flatlined me with that one!! LMAOOOOOOOO

  • HAHA! I still really want one..however I think the port is aftermarket attachment lol @peterschmeltzer

  • @peterschmeltzer It's beside the USB port.

  • monome

  • I think this is something only Jonny Greenwood can make art with. For ordinary people it can only be a toy.

  • I can't believe it I think I just found my non-human soul-less soul-mate. Materialistic love at first site. As an Artist, the non instrument playing type I think, no change that, I know could not only enjoy learning to play on it but I can see how it will expand and enhance my creativity in my medium as well. Anybody wanna buy some Original Art or commission me so I can buy one if yes ask for details.

  • the idea of this thing is gret but I think its kinda way too ahead of our times.....

  • it'd be major entertainment to infants and toddlers

  • it looks so god damn confusing

  • ?? Okay.... interesting, but overpriced - who the hell has the extra cash to spend on this ?

  • what is this music called? so soothing and harmonic

  • @tntuof Generative music

  • Monome's are more expensive

  • It remids me to Nortec Collective @ Los Premios MTV 2008

They came with this instruments too

  • @PEREDABROSMEDIA esta desde el 2005 y todavia es genial , yo tengo uno y creeme vale cada uno de los 800 USD que page por el !

  • wwwwwwwwwwwwowowo1111

  • Hi, nice lond fingers...

  • Very nice but I can do almost as much with Beatwave or Melodica . Apps for I-Pods and it cost only a few bucks.

  • @miamidenis you might think you are right.

    But you are certainly wrong.

  • wow amazing and complexxxx:(

  • gguuuuahhh nice ajajajaj INCREDIBLE AJAJAJAJA

  • i would one get one its very cool new way too do music

  • monome > tenori-on

  • donde compro una tenori-on?

  • Seems like itd be a real bitch and a half to learn to use but once you get it id imagine it would be well worth it

  • What do you call these kinda "instruments" =/

  • i have no clue how it works but it looks awesome! i wanna learn!

  • Thank's, you inspired me to buy one ASAP. [All Your Dave Seal Of Approval]

  • holy crap

    AWESOME

    BRAVO TO THE CREATOR
