  • dis world is too strict for me to live in..

im goin to move to mars

  • Fuck the bailout let's get the bale out~!!

  • BABY STEPS BIG BABY STEPS. The pot shot heard round the world!! What happened over in MI with thier initiative? Anybody know?

  • its just a fine in NY where i live

  • Here in PA, you can face up to 6 months in jail with a $500 fine for possession of under 30 grams (a heavy ounce - an ounce is 28 grams). Usually, you just get a year on probation and a fine.

In PA, you also automatically lose your driver's license for 6 months for a first offense, even for a roach!

In OH, the maximum penalty for simple possession is a $100 fine - and that's for up to 100 grams (nearly a quarter pound!).

  • would you get the same fine if they catch you smoking it or catch you high? or is it different?

  • man, i hope this spreads down here to florida. I mean, the truth is, you'll have more health problems from eating burger king as a meal everyday of your life than smoking a joint everyday. How can you have a law that puts someone who smoked a joint in prison longer than some dirt bag who beats his wife!?!?!

  • Aint that the truth which is why I'm so happy taxachusetts got real finally. I think it might make other states wake up too.

  • "pass the dutchie to the left"

  • can someone tell me if 2 passed?

  • Yes, it passed big time. 65% of voters supported it. We got more votes than Obama in MA...Doesn't go into effect for 30 days. Pray the state house doesn't try to mess with the wish of voters..

  • do we know if it passed yet?

  • Yes it passed!

  • Yes it passed big time. We got 65% of the vote, a landslide win. We got more votes for marijuana decrim, than Obama in the state of MA. Huge win!

  • I voted YES also.

  • Me, too. Looks like we won pretty big, still waiting for final results, but so far so good!

  • I voted yes.

  • Me, too and it looks like we won pretty big, still waiting for final results...

  • yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes YES yes

  • vote yesh!

  • I support Cannabis. I want to know what hempseed tastes like. *drools*

  • A couple of things that make your points a non starter.

One ounce is not enough for a real dealer to make any sort of profit. Cannabis doesn't have much of a profit margin because it is so expensive even from the source unlike harder drugs like cocaine that have much higher markup.

Police will still charge a dealer with under an ounce with intent to distribute. Arresting thousands for nothing so you pretend it makes a difference when the charge for distributing is the only one that counts?

  • I think its about time that we have laws that reflect the american people, the fact is there is a large percentage of people who smoke pot and are productive members of society, people like doctors lawyers politicians, we live in the land of choice and we need to be allowed to choose to live life as we see fit as long as we are not hurting anyone else, well my point is.........

vote yes on 2 in Massachusetts

  • Well done!

    Good luck Massachusetts.

    YES ON 2

    peace out

  • People need to simply get with the times! My video response above C.O.W. states how messed up our nation is when it comes to responding to a cause!

  • Im split on this issue though I can't vote in Mass anyway. I am not for the use of Marijuana at all. I know that this law isn't about making it legal but it seems like a step in that direction. Next thing you know we've got more stoned liberals (not that I'm a conservative, in fact I'm an Independent) but this seems like a foot in the door for liberals.

  • I think people should consider that only a liberal would tell a person that he can't use medicine that works. That George W. Bush is a liberal president with giving our money to the Fortune 500 and taking our liberties away. Not that I think those called liberals like Obama are better. Just pretty much the same liberals under a different banner.

  • Most politicians are liberal with the laws for corporations. I'm conservative, in spending, saving, how I act. I find that cannabis is better for me than alcohol and otc pills for the pain I have. I use it for my 10 year plus back pain but I enjoy it as well. If enjoying a non toxic substance makes me a hippy, so be it. But you'd never guess. nerd jock kid that grew up well and is a professional adult, that's me.

  • And many others in my generation, we arent like the y kids or the hippies before us. We survived before the nanny state really took over, I've worked for 20+ years in bars, restaurants, as a union helped in a teamster shop, in four different major financial institutions and manage music and all sorts of stuff, many of the most successful and best smoke weed, they just don't advertise it. I don't but for my activism. I don't wear the hippy T's hemp stuff, just not me. Nothing against it though.

  • And often you'll find what you perceive as hippy looking acting people and they actually hate on cannabis. For every hippy you see there are three or four average joe conservatives that smoke cannabis but won't tell you that...

  • Thats the wrong assumption. Drinking is legal and does everyone walk or stumble around drunk? Ok, scratch that because some do. Just for the love of God think the mighty green isn't the evil its authority and greed. You can look at the reform in many ways. For one medical not political.

  • "more stoned liberals..." wow, you sound ignorant. It's pretty easy to see when you look at the facts. What are some reasons why it should be illegal? Don't worry, I'll wait. You sound like someone who has never tried it or researched its potential. It has MANY medical uses including: inhibiting tumor growth, nausea relief, pain relief, stress relief, etc. Not to mention how amazing and cost effective hemp is for making things. My point is, research the facts before making decisions.

  • gettinirie, yes it's really going to help your point about my comments if you resort to name calling. ie "ignorant". ha ha ha BTW, the chemicals in pot that can help people can be extracted from it... it doesn't need to be smoked... nice try. LOL

  • Well at least its getting decriminalized (typo?)

  • New poll came out they are starting to cut into our lead, we still lead like 60-30% but lost 10% from the last poll. So with a short time to go I still think we are going to win big but have to bury the DA's lies. Thanks for the support, comments, bulletins, posts, we need more to put this one away.

  • You rock! Hope it is legal every where. I mean multi tasking is more bad for your brain cells the marijuana, and also WHY ISNT CIGARETES banned? They do worse shit to you then marijuana.

  • legelize it already.. damn!

  • it's actually pretty weird mass never decriminalized being so nastily referred to by others in other states as such a bastion of liberalism - harvard is the kremlin on the charles etc.. I grew up in maine, people there are pretty sensible and since there is such a small population per area there isn't much (crime?) to begin with that isn't tended to in less complicated ways - between bangor and houlton maybe you can go as fast as you like but you won't cause you don't want to slam into a moose

  • SENSIBLE MARIJUANA POLICY WOO

  • purty smart, for a yankee!!!!!!!!

  • Doesn't go far enough, just more bullshit

  • It's better than getting arrested and penalized for life with a CORI that exists today. I would much rather give up the weed and pay $100 than get arrested pay much more than that, get drug tested, probation, hire a lawyer, miss work for court, and have a record for life. I've been arrested in MA and that is my experience. I'd pay that fine in a quick second. And it is going to pass.

  • Beggars can't be choosers

  • It all has to start somewhere. You have to consider the constituents in this case, and this ad appeals to the people who vote in MA. This ad would not work where I am from, but this ad isn't targeted at the people from my state.

I hope to see medical marijuana on the ballot in MA very soon. The east coast is seriously under-represented in regard to medical marijuana. If it can work in other states you'd think the state with the most "prestigious" school in the world could handle the task.

  • Great points COMarijuana.

  • One of the things is I have given MPP a hard time in lots of ways but realize now that they do listen and act on good ideas. Because everything I have publicly bitched about or pointed out that was right they have used. They do the polls to check it and go. I taunted them to come to MA to do decrim, it polled almost as high as medical in MA and I know this area, it's easier to get that done first because of CORI. CORI for life is the term I have been running with, I am CORI for life for 1 joint.

  • And I suggested not to bring in the out of state DC looking lawyers for the tv and radio it has to be somebody from Boston and police if possible. And look at that. They have run a good campaign thus far. I tip my hat to them. And even though it took awhile they responded to my brutally harsh Obama video. I have one good friend that will read this and not like it but I think MPP and the local running it are doing a great job and running it like it needs to be run here.

  • c'mon mass lets vote yes on this.

    i live here.

  • Common sense must prevail
