    R8-v10@1100m crosses 1km trap 242km/h

    My K04 at the same track 37c did 228km/h & 3/4 tank of fuel.

    Run vs R8 roughly 1700m,cooler conditions & I lighter on fuel.

    My 1km would still be around 228km/h as altitude is still compensated for and temps and weight is down.

    Now for the R8 @1700m speed would roughly be 227km/h if you remove 6% for the altitude.

    So yes, ingear acceleration on Turbo is at least = to it ... haha

  • listening to all this justification is funny!! hahahaah. i have a k04 turbo Audi S3 8p highly modified and tuned that makes 380hp. its been lighted by 120kilos. easily does 0-100 in 4.5 sec ad 1/4 miles in 12's and is capable of even quicker. and I CAN GET NO WHERE NEAR A V10 R8 at full tilt! NOT even close. nice try. keep dreaming!

  • I am real fan of golf mk 5 GTI, you have really crazy car but V10 engine from R8 is different world!!

  • @EliteRide1987 Yup, but at altitude they loose big power , same as a few weeks ago I raced a M6 cabrio and from 60-140 he only edged me around 1-2 a car to 3/4 a car.

    So yes altitude makes a huge differance on N/A engines

  • I didn't insult you, i am just trying to make a point that our engines are nice...yes...nut they are no 5.2 V10's...

    Maybe try a GT3071 or a 76 and then yes...you will have a chance...

    Altitude does play a role, but so does turbo heat soaking...You might think you have 350 bhp but at any given moment you might also have 320...

    On the other hand the N/A 5.2 is all power all the time...

    As i said, trying to make a point...

  • Agreed. V10 is super strong. But altitude makes a huge differancs. eg. stock E92 M3 here makes 215wkw and RS4 motor only makes around 200wkw. So they loose a lot up hear. And a lot or Torque.

    I have 2 intercoolers..S3 and Forge Twintercooler with water meth injection. When logging on 37.5 temps a few weeks back my timing pull was max 1.5 degrees.

    This day was much cooler around 20 degrees. In gear from low down I was equal to him.

  • You forget Altittude. I live at 1700m.

    At that height I make 223wkw and weigh 1340 kg so = 166. R8=1620kg but only makes 263wkw up here=162. They loose power with bad fuel we only get 95 here. FSI aspirated doesn't make much at altitude.

    So yes. In mid range power I can give it a hard time and in this case took off just before him. Street racing for the win.

    380 is strong. Is that at the wheels ?

  • Do you have any idea how much horsepower I have or what my power to weight ratio is ? 1/4mile R8 V10 184kmh. Me172kmh.Meaning lots of wheel spin with a slower terminal speed.

    So on a rolling run was I giving my boss's car a hard time. You had better believe it.

    As you can see in the vid he didn't want me to pass and couldn't pull away when I tried to get past.

    Altitude for the win. And my power to weight ratio on the wheels is 156 and the R8 is 165 so fairly close at altitude
