@finstrike7 ir's actually supposed to be so they're perception and senses aren't hindered. They said they can see and hear better without the helmet.

@samuelpborja Yeah. True. But also look at Clayton Carmine from Gears 3. He still has his helmet and is still alive and kickin'.

@samuelpborja They have indeed. Dom said to Ben Carmine that if he did wear a helmet, he wouldn't see snipers as good as he does without one. Marcus told him to cool it. Clay was shot with a sniper round, but it only grazed his head.

Clay: "Jesus Christ! What the fuck??!!"

Then... Clay to a Stranded: "Good thing a wear a helmet."
