  • What I don't get, why make a rolling cube like that. As small as it is, it could just as well have been animated. And come on, whether you use animation for the actual graphics or the copperlist, what's the difference? Memory usage? As if the BPLCON0 stuff would by light on memory usage. I mean, half of the copperlist simply consists of repeating the address of BPLCON0 and then you don't use all bits of BPLCON0, but just 4, 4 useful bits out of 32, that's quite pathetic in terms of efficiency.

  • This was the first Amiga demo I ever saw. How ironic that my current PC, elderly by modern standards yet immeasurably superior to my Amiga at the time, can't play this You Tube video without occasionally 'freezing' the picture for fractions of a second then skipping frames to catch up.

  • One of my favorite amiga's demo, lot of memories got back to me watching this :)

  • ...my netbook stuttered while decoding the white noise effect. LOL!

  • Dark, Awesome, I fucking love this one!

  • Ivé seen it on amiga 500 several times and itś still as great as the first time i saw it

  • Harry did it again.

  • I am convinced: I must put this on a mix at a party, and get people to dance to this!

I love this song so much! - Tom

  • at that time they have been the most powerful coders in germany with this brillant piece of art..

  • omg the music so brillant!

  • what a wonderfull demo!!!

  • Amazing demo! When I first saw this running on my A500 I was so proud to own an Amiga!! Can't say the same for the past 6 pc's i've owned!

  • wanna ride that fukken train

  • That picture at the beginning which is some sort of devil train, that is actually my pc desktop wall paper which i ripped myself from the emulator lol. Thank god for emulation now i own all amiga games and demos and programs etc.

  • Is it wrong that I like this? I am 16, this demo came out in May 1993, I was born in May 1993...

  • @ratsouffle why wrong? :))

  • How i can contact the authors of music?

  • @kittenizator virgill dot scene dot org

  • nice music....check out the new PC version of chip Attack 2..Amiga version was released back in 1998 by michael/Anathema

  • Awesome music by Virgill. If you like this tune, check out his Cebit 93 slideshow module (video capture available on my channel).

  • Best ever! Seeing this made me a coder too :)

  • Does anyone remember the Simpson's demo, also by Sanity?

  • this one is just great. Very nice tune.

  • i've heard the song a lot of times, but never saw the demo!...

  • This was one of the first Amiga Demos i saw, and how great now after years i could see it again. It's like meeting an old friend! :-)

  • where can I download this wonderfull .mod?

  • try bitjam or mod archive

  • Love the credits song at the end. Unfortunately, I never managed to get hold of that mod (if it's a mod?). The main theme of the demo is easy to find (and rip from the demo), though.

If anyone know where one can download the credit song, I would be grateful for that information.

  • If you watch the demo with WinUAE and wait for the credits to appear you can rip it using the built-in ProWizard tool on the Output menu. It'll find a ProRunner mod and save it to wherever the WinUAE executable is. Worked fine for me just now.

  • the credit song at the end is called Rigit Obstacles by Virgill, and soz for gravedigging

  • just 4 channels used.. pure protracker...

  • Top tune. Virgill is my hero.

  • Demo or die!

  • Nice music.

  • Nice. One of the only good amiga demos i'v seen

  • I just love this demo! <3

    One of my favourites! ^_^

  • amazing @.@

  • Masterpiece.

What can I say? Amiga Rules & Virgill too!

  • Protracker is wicked, but octamed is much easier to use. Besides you convert mod1 to pt files but you were limited to 16 channels :(. Great demo, they don't make these neatly designed demos on the pc..

  • 16 Channels? Don't you mean 16 instrument slots?

  • 99% of tunes are made with protracker. I've used octamed (and octalizer) and protracker. Protracker (even with 4 channels) is still the best (I even prefer it over PC trackers).

  • To Ludo(shat) Protracker Muppets...WTF? I'd like to hear what you could come up with on feckin Protracker pal, I bet anything you produce on that would sound like a wet fart. There's always some tosspot on here slaggin off anything thats good or creative. If you think ppl that use Protracker are muppets, have a look at any of Audiomonsters (aka Raphael Gesqua) mods then tell me if you think he's a muppet after you've seen what he can do. He is the best!

  • WHAT are you talking about? Idiots like you (who never grow up and can't appreciate the fun we had back then - me more than you obviously, seeing as you were still a baby) take themselves WAY too seriously ('ironlord' lol) and urgently need to get a life. Don't reply because you ain't worth it. Dork.

  • This demo rocks!

  • Protracker muppets - he he.

  • Classic!

  • Virgill's mod sounds like a Jester (of Sanity) one.

  • Amazing demo that all Amiga fans love!

    And great song! Virgill/Masque!
