Hey, You just walked past one of the MOST FAMOUS landmarks at number 3 Savile Row. The former HQ of the BEATLES, APPLE CORP. The famous rooftop concert is the very last public performance of this worlds most lauded Pop/Rock group.
If you are buying it for 200-300 pounds you aren't buying bespoke which is irrelevant when talking about Savile row. Similarly the first store you showed, which IIRC sells off the rack clothing, isn't what Savile row is famous for. No point talking about regular clothing in a place about bespoke clothing.
Henry Pool & Co invented the tuxedo which you almost said.
average price for a tailored suit is 1800-2500 pounds.
depends on the tailor rlly
if u ask me - a 200-300 pounds suit even from marks and spencer will do the job.
this is just for prestige class and distinction - more people in my opinion who pay so much attention to the detail - they forget the proportionate rip off that their money is getting on its seam.
@S1deWind3r The difference is M&S suits are off the shelf measurements whereas Savile Row suits are Bespoke tailoring, the cut is specifically designed for you and only you.
I myself have one M&S suit and two John Lewis suits but soon I'd like a bespoke tailored one to get the look and fit just right.
@palteen between £20 and £80 dependant on tailor and what you want done to the end. Ring around for quotes form the links provided in this description. They will all do a pretty good job on Saville row.
Thanks for you great videos! I was wondering, are there any good tailors on savile row, who can just take in a jacket a whatever, but not their jacket...? I bought it in Harrods and need a good tailor in order not to spoil it etc.. thnx :)
It depends on the jacket. many jackets are mould fused with glue in factories instead of hand stitched with a floating canvass, even some expensive designer suits. the best thing is to take it into a few shops and see what type of suit it is and get a quote. They can usually alter it if it is canvassed but expect to pay up to 350gbp for a top alteration.
How do you know all this stuff????? Very good anyway, thanks for that. I was going to get a suit made up at Kilgour but I'm not sure I like the sound of "semi-bespoke" If you are going to do something, do it properly I say...
Thanks Kwai for the tour of the menswear stores in London. I like Dunhil as a British menswear. For Britsh designers, I like the works of Alexander McQueen; But his work is more toward women. As for American designers Bijan's suites are one of the bests.
I've covered Dunhill which is on nearby Jermyn street (vid will be uploaded soon). McQueen is a legend and a great mentor to peeps like Stella Mcartney.
I only made this last week lolz. It was about 22c and i couldn't work it out either. The sun is often hiding but it was warm and i was only wearing a t shirt. People here wear full on coats on the underground which is closer to 40c during summer months!
ola... great... can you also produce a video about da famous british tailor made shoes and those shops? I want to buy some of those for my suits adn heard they fit perfectly and last a lifetime... w00t, would be great! pZ, m.
johntgr @ no solo get back, media pelicula y el disco Let it be, fue grabado en el sotano del edificio, ademas de otros artistas que grabaron en el estudio apple
Thanks for sharing.

Things to do in China: Bring your one Anderson and Sheppard suit and have it imitation custom tailored by twenty tiny hands for .005 the cost.

Hi. How much would you expect to pay for adjusting the trousers length there? And what is a good shop to do it on savile row or elsewhere?

kwaichi 2 years ago
@kwaichi you can get a savile row suit for £700???? i thought you need to pay like 4 k or something...

bloody hell, you've done it again! You've taken a not-so-interesting street, and turned it into London's most wanted place of interest! excellent!
And in a sort of encouraging demand - more of these please! :)

Nice video Kwaichi! But you forget to mention the headquarters of Beatles recording label
"Apple" which were located at 4 Saville Row. There is a video of "Get Back" in which the Beatles play on the rooftop of 4 Saville Row.

You're absolutely right. I realised when I finished recording but couldn't be bothered to film the street again :)

Keep up the good work! I expect you to visit areas like Shoreditch, Hoxton, Brixton which usually aren't so touristy.

I must say you gave a lot of free advertising there to those Tailor shops, or did you LOL.
I can just see Savile Row being bombarded by rich tourists now, all wanting to get a custom suit made :)

Plenty of rich tourists already make trips from USA to Savile Row for a suit and fly back and forth for fittings. It's a crazy little street
