What do you guys think about evos reliability? Because I'm planning on getting a ix soon but of course used now... How are they reliability-wise and day to day driver.? Please get back at me on this, thnx
i've driven both the STI and EVO and I can say that the EVO is more aggressive when Turbo kicks in. Both have Turbo lag but the STI doesn't have that punch to it like the EVO does. The EVO X however feels like that Mitsubishi has softened up the car a bit tho :(........ but that can be fixed with mods :)
i love evo's but i hate the turbo lag... i aint sayin it dosent sound nice, i aint sayin this to put mitsubishi makers a bad name, but wow does their turbo lag alot... a minivan smokes a lancer evo 8 mr... personally, id change turbos b4 i buy one myself...
Duh of course theres turbo lag, its there for a reason esp for stock Evos. After all you don't wanna be on turbo all the time especially if its just used as a day to day car. Turbo kicks in at 3000rpm. But with some after market mods the turbo lag can be reduced not completely gone but reduced to some degree. The rally versions of the evos have what they call 'Anti-lag' so its turbo active from the get go even when ur feet is off the pedal the turnbine is still spinning.
i owned one.....am 22....i wrecked it last week....i fucked up...hit a turn too fast ...n drunk..but git it paid off and no dui.......luckely..i got pics on my phone..ffuucckkk mann....it hurts...rip evo ix mr

EVO IX 0-60 time with a good driver is 4.5 seconds or less. 1/4 mile times are mid to high 12's bone stock.
