I look back at these videos now and laugh. I didn't realise until recently that what we were actually seeing between Bradley and Angel was sexual tension. Bradley trying his best to avoid looking at her and thinking that moving away would make it better, it didn't and his leg/foot moved back against hers involuntarily LOL!

I don't think there is a problem between Bradley and Angel because I saw a lot of videos and pictures of them joking and talking comfortably recently.
Here, he didn't have the micro (they laughed about that at 1:03) so he didn't speak then, he started to get bored and they were probably all tired. For me, Angel and Bradley are good friends since season 1 to season 4.
I think that some fans analyze Bradley's behaviour too much.
Anyway I love Merlin, it's a great show and the cast is amazing.
okay so I never believed people when they said Bradley and Angel don't get along b/c I've seen the behind the scenes stuff and there's no way they don't get along. But I recently saw pictures of the Merlin cast filming for season 4 and Angel, Colin and Bradley were all laughing together and its so obvious they do get along.

Bradley is aware about the jealousy of fans that pick on Angel and he tries to down the fire by acting non commital when at these events but on set they have a blast.
I would like to apoligise about my initial thoughts on Bradley's behaviour. If you see the beginning of this part and you could understand his restlessness. The clips on their own can make things look out of context. His iphone went off and I think Angel felt or heard the vibration and rightly gave him a look. He then said something to her and he either switched it off or had a quick peek. He was sitting a little too close and shuffled but left his leg where it was,lol.
@ELLABELLAMJ Apology accepted! I think we all should do the same thing as you. It would have been helpful if everyone had looked at ALL the clips before engaging in wild speculations. As I said before, B & A are fine. They just don't do a lot of interacting at these things. If you ask me, that's a wise course for them to take from what I've seen of fans these days. Okay, him moving the cushion and moving away, I think he felt he was squashing Angel, you can see how she has her arms tightly to her because Bradley and Katie are so close to her. Some people are analysing the video (and bradley) way too much, geez. Nobody knows what's going on and we don't even properly know them as people or what they're like behind the camera so you can't say that bradley is rude when you don't even properly know him/them.

Examining these videos properly, I really think that Bradley has a form of ADD / ADHD (attention deficit disorder).
I've always thought he was just rude but he seems totally unaware of his surroundings sometimes. He gets bored easily, is distracted and says things which are rude, without thinking of the impact his words will have. He's in his own little world most of the time. This is usually a child's disorder but adults can have it too. Reading up on it, he seems to have all the symptoms.
@Aldreda I'm no good at diagnosing but I agree that Bradley is in his own world and does get bored easily. I have not keyed into him being rude, frequently. I have a higher threshold for rude, I guess. I don't usually see what he says as rude, though more direct. I think a lot of men tend to do that. He establishes his boundaries well & quickly and some people don't like that.
I think the relationsip between Colin and Bradley is just friendship. Colin seems very reserved and Bradley doesn't. It feels more like a big brother worship thing. A big brother looks out for you and protects you. And I believe that Bradley is more self concious than he lets on. It takes men longer to mature than women.
@TheLouvelove For me, I was aware less of the tension than how bloomin' tired they all look. Katie looks a little more alert but the other 3 look nackered, seriously in need of sleep. They are still in early stages of filming and this is their weekend.

I do want to say I've sensed there's been an uncomfortableness on both parts about A/G. I feel Angel handles it a bit more maturely than Brad, but I think there are some feelings there. If there's now a rift, then I really think that. There's no way they could play that first kissing scene as they did (director let them do on their own) and Brad turned off with her. No way. I'm over 50 and trust me, I've seen this kind of thing before. The kids like each other. I'm praying for them.
Thanks for this. Regarding discussion here, at LJ I saw lots of photos. BJ seemed pensive all night, even when sitting with Colin at the signing table. I think something was troubling him the whole time. We all have our days. But in all fairness and to address incorrect statements, I have seen quite a few videos with interaction between him and Angel and it's obvious that they liked each other--a lot. Lots of teasing, etc. as good friends do. They were always together.
Anyway, what kind romance I ship have nothing to do with Mr James, he can dislike whatever he wants and makes whatever comments he wants, I still ship A/G hard and we all know how the A/G ship goes, so he'd better get over it.
There is something called "being professional", if Mr Bradley James has issues with Angel, and that makes him dislike A/G, or he has issues with Angel in RL just b/c he dislike A/G romance, I wouldn't call him "professional". BTW Angel seems have no problem with Colin and Katie.
@LoveOwenCris that is so true. I love Bradley and Angel and even the A/G story. And they are very sweet together. That is why it pains me to see the way Bradley acts towards Angel. I am not shipping them. I know they are not together outside of the show and I don't expect them to get together! Not at all. They can go their separate ways for all I care. The pictures we have seen of them are from Season 1 and 2 (even the diaries). Where they used to joke around. I started to feel the change in S3.

The cast mast's are all really good friends particularly Colin, Bradley and Angel who tend to hang out more offset and during their breaks. Bradley and Angel are pretty close to Rupert too so they all get along. Maybe something more happened in the past between them who knows? They were rumors. But we can't really say because no one knows anything it's all based on assumptions.

Anyway, what kind romance I ship have nothing to do with Mr James, he can dislike whatever he wants and makes whatever comments he wants, I still ship A/G hard and we all know how the A/G ship goes, so he'd better get over it.

There is something called "being professional", if Mr Bradley James has issues with Angel, and that makes him dislike A/G, or he has issues with Angel in RL just b/c he dislike A/G romance, I wouldn't call him "professional". BTW Angel seems have no problem with Colin and Katie.

@LoveOwenCris that is so true. I love Bradley and Angel and even the A/G story. And they are very sweet together. That is why it pains me to see the way Bradley acts towards Angel. I am not shipping them. I know they are not together outside of the show and I don't expect them to get together! Not at all. They can go their separate ways for all I care. The pictures we have seen of them are from Season 1 and 2 (even the diaries). Where they used to joke around. I started to feel the change in S3.

@jtmlm1234 I don't what has changed between them, because I watched the three seasons in one run, so I haven't got enough time to dig those stuff yet. I don't expect they are together, that is not my thing, and I do hope they are friends in real life, because the actors who play my OTP/former OTP (b/c of A/G) are quite good friends in real life, so I know it is sweet thing to see those actors hanging out together.

One thing confuses me that why some fans think if Bradley doesn't like A/G, then A/G sucks? Whether you like a romance story has ZERO thing to do with the actors, alright? Even thought they don't like it, they kinda have to suck it up, because that is what they paid for.

Seriously this is silly. I ship Arthur/Gwen and I think Angel/Bradley have chemistry. It was because of the Cast Diaries that I shipped them. Honestly don't care if Bradley or Angel like A/G (while I hope that they did) or if they going out and split up. As long as they act well (which they do) I don't care. People need to remember that we all have different opinions and to be respectful of that. I'm sick of the Fandom hate, especially directed at A/G!

omg all these comments are better than fan fiction xD In the behind the scenes stuff Angel and Bradley seem really, really close but maybe they've just grown apart. i'm trying to stop watching interviews w/ Bradley b/c I find myself liking him less and less and I don't like not liking actors in a show I love.

@soleilisthesun Yeah, I find that myself liking him less n less too. His getting bored or consistently being distracted in this video annoys me. He also somehow comes cross as arrogant and careless, Angle also sometimes becomes the victim because of it, I don't know if he knows it.

I must say the quality of this video is one of the best I have seen to date. Usually you cannot clearly hear what they are saying but here you can. Also the picture is beautiful too. I love Angel's hair and Colin's short hair is growing on me. I thought Bradley had grown his hair too but obviously he has cut it too. Thanks for posting and sorry about the arguments which followed innocent speculations. Seems we can't have a nice dialogue without a certain person turning into a war, lol.

Lol, I suppose we are all guilty of making something out of nothing. I do think they are friends as both had said this before and lets not forget that friends fall out. As for the story line they all knew about gwen and Arthur so not sure why Gatepromise keeps going on about it being forced, lol. That was part of the legend wasn't it??

Lord knows what had gone on but if you DO NOT care about someone in a romantic way why would you act with that kind of tension whereas before he couldn't get enough of her. I hope he is in a relationship as gatepromise seems to know about, and if he is then WHY THE HELL isn't he looking happy?? Seriously, actors paired together onscreen are often not really friends or bonded off screen, that's reality. Also, there has been quite a lot about Bradley and Georgia and what the fans did to her on her facebook page when she talked about her relationship with Bradley, probably by Gwen/Arthur or Bradley/Angel shippers who couldn't handle reality!

Oh, I definitely see tension between them, as in "I don't really like you or want to touch you/I am uncomfortable with the storyline our characters are being forced into". I do not sense any friendship or bond between them. I love how everyone is getting so defensive when the body language issue is so very clear!

I have noticed some tension between these possibly? God I hope I am wrong. Angel seems alright but at times it appears Bradley may be a little angry with her Like a lovers tiff or breakup???? This is just speculation as god knows there are alot of rumours about these two already,lol. It doesn't help that people keep asking about the kissing and the way Gwen emphisises that they are"MATES" . She should have just laughed it off.

@gatepromise No he hasn't been consistent since it started, in the beginning they got on really well, something has happened, they've fallen out and it's nothing to do with the "forced romance", they both read the script before accepting the roles.
There's a relationship involved, trust me, I've been there. My ex acted the same way when I dumped him. Angel has said in the past that he's too young for her. Hurt little boy sulking at something he can't have/lost.

@ELLABELLAMJ It does seem like it could be that or they are just tired or annoyed with each other. I heard a radio show recently with Rupert and Angel as guests.The host asked about a romance with Bradley but accidentally said Bradley Cooper. Angel just laughed it off.
Maybe they are broken up here and just got back together recently.

@magiiccal whew..i'm not the only one!.. it's noticeable because Bradley is basically relaxed and friendly, that is why the difference is so noticeable. The difference is also noticeable in the commentaries (i've listened to them so many time, i can hear the change) of the 2nd season. I really don't expect them to be BFFs or anything..but just like the way Colin is with Katie or Angel.

The cast mast's are all really good friends particularly Colin, Bradley and Angel who tend to hang out more offset and during their breaks. Bradley and Angel are pretty close to Rupert too so they all get along. Maybe something more happened in the past between them who knows? They were rumors. But we can't really say because no one knows anything it's all based on assumptions.

After that, it's pictures like this, where his body langague screams discomfort and he goes on in interviews and commentaries that he does not really care for the whole Gwen-Arthur thing.

I realized that there was no bond between Angel and Bradley in one of the series 2 ep commentaries when someone commented that Angel was being very quiet and not commenting and Bradley said "She does that to get attention, ignore her, that's what I do."
