Sort of like the pope. He's considered a man of great faith, yet he needs that bulletproof pope-mobile to make sure he doesn't get killed. By the way, why is he worried about dying in the first place? Isn't he going to Heaven? I guess the bullets are real, and faith and prayer isn't enough.
You can have FAITH that you are nothing more than a cosmic biological accident. You can have FAITH that when this ACCIDENT comes to an end, there is NOTHING else.
If that were the case, then why have any rules, this is all there is. Do what ever you want, to whomever you want. They can in turn, treat you and yours just the same.
The BEST reason to believe... because GOD has asked each of us to believe.

I have FAITH... All I have to do is keep that FAITH... and live by the rules. The rules are good rules, rules we should all live by. The rules make our lives better. Mostly, it's LOVING each and every person, no matter what they might do, and being respectful for what we've been given.
I'm right, and there is everlasting LOVE. Even if I had been wrong, I still lived a life filled with LOVE.

@OriginalAdler24 I guess the answer is that people who work in the medical field have to work hard to get to that position. So out of that work they've learned to be patient with people like this priest who don't really know anything about science.

Religious views aside, it's a violation of medical ethics. Science and Religion, Abortion is the destruction of human life. Ethics and Faith, Abortion is wrong.

And it doesn't shock me anymore to meet clergy or lay claim to follow Christ when all I see is them hiding behind rose colored windows while the world suffers due to their complacency and ineptitude. At least I can die in the arms of Christ knowing I am free of his fallen church.
