@haskellfoto There is no difference, in general, between "sound" and "genre." Genre in music refers in large part to certain characteristics of an artist's sound. Granted, an artist can have an individual sound which defies classification, but that's another matter (not applicable to this band, since like I said, they're pretty standard pop.) Second, indie pop and rock as a genre does have certain sonic elements that identify it, although I realize its origin as a non-generic term.
