@GregDrayGregDray I'm om LSD alot. But I came out of the 60's so it's normal. Most of us hippies then took some kind of drug to alter the mind. We got Happy and went to the park and saw flower girls, etc... Are values were formed then and we continue to uphold them even in todays estranged world of geeks and techies.

This song was written by Artie Kornfield & Steve Duboff. So you might want to ask them if they took LSD when they wrote it. The Cowsills only recorded the song and of course gave it their typical harmonic treatment.
The Cowsills took LSD. They sing about a FLOWER GIRL. that is associated with drugs. John Lennon also sang about a FLOWER GIRL in Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. She wore "cellophane flowers." Both artists write about their hallucination of how she disappeared. Lennon sings: "With the sun in her eyes and she is gone."" The cowsills sing: "The sun broke through and she was gone." For Lennon, she will "put your head in the clouds." For the Cowsills: "she crept into your mind." Songs about LSD.
@raynageotte I'm sorry, but you're way overthinking this song. Sometimes a flower is just a flower. If anything, the song is just about a nice daydream. As far as Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds goes, I thought that rumor about LSD had died out a long time ago.
I am positive the girl in this video, the picture, is not Susan Cowsill. Does anybody dispute that? I want Susan to send me an e-mail and confirm it. It starts wesgorgunh... and you know the rest. Please e-mail me.

Flowers in her hair ( in her hair) Flowers everywhere ( everywhere). Oh, I don't know just wy; she simply caught my eye. She seemed so sweet and kind; she crept into my mind ( to my mind.. to my mind).

There is nothing to stop you from having at least some of the 60's today, Howl4life. Put some of those older songs on an MP3 player, gather up some of your friends, and head to the nearest park.
Once there, sit on the grass, turn the music up loud, and talk about how beautiful the world is in some ways and can be in others.
Just don't be too surprised when you see a few smiles on some of the older people walking by as we remember doing what you're now doing.
Yep, you can do that or bring along a guitar or two, play some old folks songs, and watch and see what happens when people start to gather. It's happened with a group of some friends of mine.
