I think that most fights have to follow variants of UFC style rules, there are rules divisions and obviously no joint manipulation, headbutts, biting, eye gouging etc, or dangerous maneuverers allowed. Apparently you dont know much about MMA. You go until the ref stops you and the ref got there as quickly as he could. Boxing is much more dangerous. In boxing you get knocked down and you get a 10 count to get back up. By that point the damage is already done.
