That's right , just right click the trend line and uncheck ray, so you can get smaller lines. Also after you place a line and you don't like how it was placed you can just double click it and drag it to where you want it . Simple.

You can get rid of the ray on the trendline. I just unchecked the box that activates the ray and I can draw an exact trendline. Thanks for the videos.
