Hey Paul, happy new year. I have been using limbsavers on my bows for years. They make great products for archery but I did not know they made stuff for hand guns. The grip looks soft but it seems like its stopping the gun from sitting down into your hand with that back flap. Looking forward to see how it works for ya. Take care brother.
Some grip tape for the smaller glocks is great as these covers suck in my opinion for smaller glocks or take the small glocks in for a recontour for a minimal cost as well.
This grip looks like the type of thing that would be handy on a larger handgun. As it sits, your fingers really don't look like they've got anywhere to go. It might fit a little better with a magazine with a finger rest extension on the baseplate. That said, it just doesn't look like the sort of thing that would be comfortable unless you already had a problem with recoil. It looks like a decent product but that the issue is you're not their target audience. Great video, all the same.
You might want to try Pachmayr, I used to have a slip-on form them in my G27 and it worked and felt great. You can get them at the Lyman Products site; if I am not mistaken a size #5, with finger grooves, was the one to get for a G26. Hope this helps!
I also wanted to share with you my wish for 2012 in the hopes that you feel the same way; my hope for the New Year is that HR 822 passes the Senate and becomes law in the US!
Happy new year to you too from sunny Puerto Rico, God do I miss Ohio!!! Love your Dogs have 3 my self 2 Rottweiders and a Golden Retriver. Have a great year!!!
Gotta love those pitbull faces! She was giving you the, "Dad...I'm sleepy look". On the G27 grip...I'm gonna make a prediction that it's just not quite right. I've got a G27 4th Gen and really, the backstraps...at least for me...make it so that I don't really need to alter anything. I'm not as big as you, but I like my grips to have a lot of real estate (one of my fave guns is the G3 standard 21...some say that it's thick like a 2x4, for me it just feels "good").
I have a Limbsaver on my Walther PPS. I love it, but YMMV. I wouldn't say it actually reduces recoil whatsoever, but it definitely does make shooting a small .40 caliber pistol much more comfortable for me. Pre-Limbsaver, the PPS was beating the crap out of the webbing between my thumb and index to the point where I'd be black and blue after an afternoon at the range. I just got a G27 as well, but have medium hands and couldn't deal with it being any thicker. Happy New Year!
Tks for ur great reviews H4T, by the way, hickock put out a vid yesterday about a piece he put on his glock under the back of the slide and jury is out on that too. This may be what he's looking for. Anxious to hear more om that holster, by now I trust your judgements, tks again.
Btw. Limbsaver actually started with anti-vibration and dampening technology for the archery world. But it wasn't long after, they diversified and started to make all sorts of dampening products. Some of the best IMHO.
One of the things I like about your reviews is even if a product does not have a favorable review, you will still post it. Some others won't. They want to do posative reviews and make it all honey and sunshine, and say nothing negative for whatever reason.
I have this same holster and the problem with it is that it is very difficult to reholster you gun. They also make it with a kydex type of polimer in the front which is probably better.
I'm gonna be honest, with that slip on grip the Glock looks like you're holding a soda can, and looking back on your older vids without it, you're grip looks much more relaxed, though that's just from looking at the vid. I hope it works out for you and can't wait to see the shooting review.
G27 is almost the perfect gun AS IS,I tried traction grips, grip tape but ended up pulling it off,the G27 was a fine shooter as is,but remember what its designed for CCW,a little to thick for my liking so I switched to a SW442 but the g27 is a fantastic gun just the way it is - if I could have it my way Id like it to be thinner or single stack,I only need 1 bullet to put Badguy down
looks like it'll make the sit higher in your hand, and make recoil control harder..........unfortunately I have a drawer full of unneccesary mods, grips, and holsters.

It seems to me the the flap under the beaver tail pushes the hand further down on an already short grip.
