  • How many times do you do your job, come home, then expect to be paid for that same day of work over and over for a long time? Nuts to get paid over and over for a job you did only once...

  • I just now viewed this video. I hope the SAG and its members listened to what Frank and Ken had to say. Leave It To Beaver was on the air just a short while before I was born. I have enjoyed that show since childhood and even now, I dearly enjoy watching it. These veteran actors deserve something for the countless hours or great entertainment they have brought into our homes for decades. I don't know how this vote went, but I hope all has gone well for Frank, Ken, Jerry, Tony.

  • RESPECT YOUR ELDERS!!!

PAY THESE ICONS WHO PAVED THE WAY!!!!!

  • Labor is always exploited. Without strong labor unions capitalism is nothing but misery except for the robber barons.

  • who cares?

  • never get rid of any right ever. EVER

  • Just pay them for crying out loud! They earned it and America and the world loves them. Perhaps we need to start a boycott of their company products until they pay up?

  • Right on guys! You deserve better.

  • While I totally sympathize with both Frank Bank & Ken Osmond and are both entitled to their rightful percentage of residuals from Leave It To Beaver,it's not as if they've both been starving on Skid Row ever since it got cancelled.Even from personal appearances and the odd acting gig, they're still doing better than your Average Joe.

  • Damn right we should protect the internet!

  • Seems like this is life the producers or theowners get rich and the workers or in this case the actors who made the show a house hold name get nothing zero silzh?? NOt fair at all!!!

  • Lumpy , I viewed a few episodes of "Beaver" on the internet.

where do I send my nickel?

    What's your address?

  • Why don't you ask Speilberg, Hanks , "meathead" , Julia Roberts , and Bennifer to kick a few dollars your way.

Did you ever hook up with Mary Ellen Roberts after Wally dumped her?

  • Lumpy , what a whiner you are.

Save your money for your old age.

What ever did you do with that old convertible you had? Is it around? For sale?

  • @GJNCA

Wow! It's not a factory. You only produced once. An actor produces for every rerun. They deserve royalities. as long as there are reruns.

  • @hajune Actually it is a factory. And the producers were always the sole owners..that's why it's them who owns the copyright. If Chaplin had have lived to the modern age he would have been completely against residuals.

What you can argue is that the performers should get a bigger percentage of the cut the first time around.

  • I vote with you Lumpy and Eddie! If not for you, how would so many people make money?

  • I believe to VOTE NO now after hearing this...I like the computer but use it for research, not my Entertainment and believe all actors should be paid for all past work since tv started. VOTE NO!

  • If we vote this contract in the newspaper boy will be able to cash our paycheck.Vote no,Thanks guys

  • Thanks guys! Let's hope your efforts pay off and this horrible contract is voted down! The AMPTP needs to hear from the SAG membership that we are worth more than they think we are!

  • We're trying, guys. We're trying to protect EVERY Member of this Union, not just the elite top percentile. VOTE NO for your Future and Integrity. No NO NO

  • BACKGROUND WILL VOTE NO!

AT THE BACKGROUND MEETING LAST NIGHT WE HAVE DECIDED TO VOTE NO ON EVERY CONTRACT UNTIL OUR NEEDS ARE ADDRESSED!

you superstars have openly called us monkeys on this forum.

we now will flex our strength and vote NO!

SAG came to the background community and begged us to join. we didn't go to SAG.

either protect us or we will vote NO on every contract!

    BACKGROUND UNITED FOR FAIR REPRESENTATION

  • I have voted NO on this horrible rollback.

  • What rollback - not one item in this contract takesaway from the previous one.

  • No, that's true...but it also provides NOTHING for the pre-1974 actors in terms of sharing in Internet revenue - and most of these actors are not working NOW - they need the residuals more than current working actors. And what Tom Hanks, George Clooney, et. al. fail to mention is that they also work as PRODUCERS of their films - they rake it in from that regard and are so damn rich now, a few cents per download means nothing to them.

  • Wonderful video! So good to see you both healthy and well. I hope SAG members listen!

  • @helenofirvine it's not the current actors salarys that are at fault the tom cruises tom hanks of the world will only get paid what companies\ producers will allow, back in the fifties there was no such thing as residual payment for syndication now with the internet and dvd's i dont blame bank, dow or osmond trying to get a peice of the current technolodgy deal after all they may have been locked into the original tv deal signed when litb went into production todays tech excludes that .

  • @azzorrow contd you from below,

because the technolodgy today did not exist then, i don't blame them at all but regretably it sounds like a david and goliath story and in every employment sector the big guy with the big pockets win, i think its a court battle that could last for years to me thy're doing the right thing i dont know if it will be worth the personal financial cost it may bring on them.
