  • Her english voice bank sounds just like how she sings english on her japanese program...you have to read the lyrics or pay attention closly to even tell she is singing english.

  • You guys should take a wack at the original song. Miku's pretty spot-on with pronunciation compared to the original singer, and he barely had one. O.o

  • One word: Amazingly Beautiful! (Wait, that was two... Oh, whatever.) Point is, it's great!

  • I prefer the 1927 version by Antheil.

  • @parameciumkid I think her voice provider had to learn English to pronounce everything right for the voice bank. I can't really here her over the music, but I can hear the accent pretty clearly.

  • I don't know why, but the way English Miku sings 'eyes' makes me 100 times more positive I'll be buying her when (if?) she comes out.

  • i really like the song but i wish it was alittle bit clearer but its only at 70% right now so i hopw when its 100% it will be very clear!! cant wait!!! spring is so close!!!

  • She still sounds awesme anyway.c:

  • She actually sounds, real! 8'D

  • I think this is pretty good :'D

  • I think she sounds the same, just she's singing in English. It's not a great song for her though so that may be part of the problem.

  • Personally, I think that she sounds really good ^w^

I think I'm going to love her speaking Japanese AND English~

I mean, either way, she's still Miku ♥

  • I kinda don't want them to release her in English.. it wouldn't be the same o: I know she's only 70% done, but she sounds completely different o.o I'll always like the Japanese version better (:

  • music is too loud, cannot decide if she pronounces the words good or not

  • Little bit? Sorry, but that Japanese accent is THICK. I hope they manage to improve it a bit for the release. Great job so far though!

  • Y U NO LOUDER MIKU. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • She might actually end up like Luka where the composers would rather go back to the japanese phonetics and work her english pronunciation from there.....

  • I like the idea of this but i still prefer japanese version but i think this still needs working on a bit and i think the reason why the english part of the is quiet is because its still not perfect but thats what it seems like to me because the japanese part is louder and you can hear that but you cant really understand the english part without reading along

  • Vocaloid never stops to impress me x.x her English sounded leagues better than those chatbots that read out the text you type.

  • the background music is quite loud, barely listen what she sings

  • @Xweart they do that purposely to drown out her robotic voice I think :p

  • I think the english part of the song was more clear then the japanese part at the end. But still, it's really awesome.

  • Glares at Groundhog.

  • Can't understand it, but her voice is great!

  • I like the song, but it's like she's singing another different language, you hear "la la la" and the first sentence then is jumbles up, and the guitar makes so it's even worse.

  • You also have to remember that this was made by someone who isn't a native speaker of English (heck, I'm not even sure if they speak English at all). That can make all the difference in the world.

  • The music is so much louder than her voice, you cannot hear it properly.

  • Her voice is great. Just the song is not great.

  • I understand her *__*

  • Miku, you should find help in openenglish . com ):!

  • This is pretty good.... Me like •~•

  • this is going to be epic.

  • awsome voice but miku still must improve her english

  • @JustStalk This still at beta stage of production

  • Is she, even, singing english?...

  • @Spriteimations Indeed she is! It does sound a little poor, but the databank was only 70% finished at the time that this song was arranged.

  • Awesome voice but I cannot understand the demo x.x

  • does someone know if this user is going to upload more miku english songs? (:

  • @Sumomogirl1 I haven't heard of anymore english songs using her new database, if anyone knows any let me know and I'll post them

  • i wonder how learning english would be benefit from this? o.o what she does is matching the sound with the phoneme and that would be done with someone's guidance because she records only part of phoneme and not singing the entire lyrics o.o

  • This better mean the twins are getting an English voicebank, too.

  • i think the voice...is REAALLY GOOD...its getting there =3 GOOD JOB!~!!! JAPAN~

  • Guys, take note this was made with the 70% done version, so by the time shes 100% done she probably will be a little clearer and easier to understand. Just saying :\

  • I LOVE YOU MIKU!!!

  • English is the most prevalent world language. When native users are tolerant to non-native users' English, English would be a real world's common language, I think. This is no offense.

  • @Waarisubs you understand it better 'because' English is 'not' your first language.

  • Hweeh... So is Miku also going able to sing in English?

Anyway this choosen song is suited to her voice, i think. Song of machine's love, sung by computer singer... how interesting and fantastic.

  • better than Luka...

  • I don't understand why everybody says ''Uh you can't hear what she's singing''

i understood most of it without subtitles and english is not even my first language!

  • @Waarisubs Perhaps they have become so accustomed to listening to music in Japanese that her accent interferes too much for comprehension, or they are only accustomed to clear English, as opposed to this accented, newly-learned English? I'm leaning toward a combination of the two.

  • @drymoisttowelette Ah i see.

  • I don't like this arrangement of the song. Miku's bank has potential; this is quiet and the arrangement doesn't help at all. Just listen to the original by Ryuichi Sakamoto (father of Miu Sakamoto, voicer of vocaloid Mew), and wait for someone to do something better with the bank. Also, if you're waiting for an english vocaloid, get one of the many available (and cheaper than importing) english ones.

  • I can't understand her.

    Sorry Miku.

    You failed English.

-- From a native English speaker

  • >_<;; I still can't understand....

  • @Calliavida this a demo, so its still a work in progress until its officialy out, then it will be become clearer :3

  • I would like it better if she keeps singing in Japanese. She sounds like a totally different person in English. I'm american but I enjoy her Japanese singing better. ^.^

  • @123animeluv She's a "Program" she can do both :D

  • @123animeluv That's because here she is singing at a lower range, as in VOCALOID you can make the VOCALOID sing high or low, she sounds the same actually.

If they were to put her voice a range higher, she would sound like her Japanese VB.

It's also the fact that she's singing a totally different language.

  • @Itoshii14Remon True True ^.^

  • are you going to upload more of miku english songs??

  • i understand it verry verry well ^_^

  • Nice idea, though i don't think that English is a good language for her. Japanese can be simplified to a limited range of syllabes, and you can't do this with English and it's variable pronounciation.

I think i'm gonna stick to her Japanese songs, but i won't hate the English ones. :)

  • It was hard to understand what she was saying without the lyrics. I wonder Japanese find her just as hard to understand in Japanese as we do in English. Still, I'm looking forward to her release!

  • @gundam00lover4eva

In Japanese songs, I, a Japanese, often mistake the sounds and wonder what Miku says. But it is the same when I listen to real singers' songs. Subtitles are very helpful for me whether the singer is real or not. Intonations of Japanese songs are much altered compared to those in conversations, and the lyrics are sometimes too complicated for me to understand the meanings confidently even after reading them.

I'm fully satisfied with Miku's Japanese totally.

  • @ilovemeuntilmydeath Oh okay thanks, I never knew. I also love her music!

  • it sounds great like miku should, but I can't understand a word of what she's singing.

  • I hope Meiko gets an English voice bank! That would be wicked cooooll~~~

    But I really like Miku's voice here (Even if she isn't understandable, which is fine as long as one uses subtitles, lol). If I have enough money by the time this comes out I might go in for it! She sounds really niceee ;o;

And I love that the song isn't dependent on her voice, too. Miku and the guitar are a team! I ship Miku and the guitar! : O

  • @ScandinavianSweetie her official American design is really cowgirl-ish. Look it up. This isnt it though

  • @animefreek141 That isn't her official American design. That was just a contest done to get a new outfit. IT was only used on a poster to advertise something, and is going to be an outfit used in the next concert. Kinda like switching outfits in Project Dive. It's nothing official for her new boxart.

  • I've listened and sang this song soo many times I understand what she's saying and the guitar needs to combust into flames its like that one friend that doesn't let anyone speak

  • I rather that beher english design or keep the original

  • The song is very nice, beautiful lyrics and melody

    BUT

The channels weren't mixed properly, meaning her voice wasn't really playing over the melody, so her voice sounded a bit muffled in some parts

The lead guitar seemed to try to steal the show with its solo.

Guitar! Y u steal spotlight from Miku :O

  • OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Do you think this is her new outfit design? Just asking, not trying to cause hate or wars. :'3

  • @ScandinavianSweetie probly not. It's just a picture kinda like other dresses in AMV's. In all honesty Her official design wont be confirmed until the voice is out. (it's like the Vocaloid producers love to troll with false images all the time ESPECIALLY engloids...)

  • @ScandinavianSweetie WUH?! I hope so, it's so beautiful ;w;

  • pretty outfit :3

  • It would make more sense if you look at the reference/lyrics when you listen, (in 'show more' area) you can hear how well she can pull off some of the words.. Imagine completed and being perfected by the composers,,,, ohh, the future of Miku is bright for English native fans.

  • O.o I sure hope the finished one is better...cause this is......=__="

  • w I hardly understand a single word...

  • When this is done it will bring the world one step closer to a mikutopia.

  • They really are trying their best to hide her voice it seems I can't even tell what it sounds like but I think its coming along.

  • mikus english voice is good so far but its a bit too soft i mean shes being drowned out

  • this better mean the Kagamine twins will get an English voicebank, too QwQ

  • @animemangaotaku9 - I can imagine a ton of fangirls squeeing and nosebleeding when they would hear Len actually sing in English.

  • @Cartoonothing me included XD well, just squeeing lol

  • @animemangaotaku9 THAT ALSO MEANS MEIKO IS GETTING ENGLISH VOICE BANK! 8D Unnecassary use of caps. Or is it owo

  • @animemangaotaku9 i agree!

  • @animemangaotaku9 Asami Shimoda is actually currently learning English.

There is a chance that they will receive an English voicebank.

  • @dooliedoode11 Wow really??? :D I hope so :D

  • @animemangaotaku9 I heard that if Miku's and Kaito's English voicebanks are popular enough, they will make an English voicebank for the Kagamine twins.

  • @1tastiger1 I really hope they do make english voicebanks for the twins ;u;

  • very good engrish xD

  • The guitar killed the song. ಠ_ಠ it was all like LA LA LA LA LA LALA, and then like ...the fuck-?!

  • Call me whatever, but Miku sounds half Canadian, half Japanese in accent when she speaks her Engrish. But I guess it's actually pretty good considering all of the recording going on for the English project.

  • i have only one problem with this song, the guitar at the end.

  • With how Miku is going, she'll be the one to unite us all.

  • The music is really cute and catchy, so romantic, but I can barely understand what she says, and I never would If I didn't read the description :3

  • Oh God, "This isn't miku" Oh and who is? My Grandma?

  • This picture reminds me of Eureka because of the eyes.

  • She doesn't sound like Miku at all x'DD

And I see no point in Miku (Or Kaito) english voicebank. Luka is the bilingual one, goddamnit!

  • @KyonKun0993 Singing synthesizers were not very popular at the time of Meiko and Kaito's releases, but the avatars on the packages seemed to help them sell better, so that's why Crypton went ahead and developed Hatsune Miku with a cute design, etc. In a way, Crypton took a chance with Miku's release and that set the standard for most future Vocaloids. I'm not quite sure who you're replying to about, but I'm just adding information and explaining the Kaito/Meiko issue.

  • @likevid123 What are you talking about? Are you talking about the cheerleader outfit? That's only for advertising and such. Nothing was ever stated saying it was going to be boxart or the official design for an English-singing Miku.

  • she's 2nd now lolol

  • I love this cover of the song, and Miku's English voicebank, but the metal wailing guitar solo made me cringe.

  • I love how the instruments sound, and the songs great but i kinda prefer miku singing in japanese. But its still a good song.

  • Miku enslish should make her debut at 2012 Olympics.

    now please vote for her....

at the top tens = singers you'do like to perform at 2012 Olympics.

  • @mubpfc WHERE CAN I VOTE

  • @Antakku search this at google "thetoptens singers you'do like to perform at 2012 Olympics"

right now Miku is no 32.....

  • @mubpfc She's up to number 28 now ;)

  • @Antakku now no 23..spread the news...i have did everything i can on all popular Miku YT videos...

  • @Antakku is this an official vote or is it fan made

  • @lolipopx100 F***, now they removed Miku from the list...

    he can hear you

    when you're dissin the gagaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    O_O

  • @Brynnabin errrm...... ok

  • @punkrose1225 2nd :DDD

  • @lolipopx100 It's a fan made vote... I wish they had an official one!

I also noticed yesterday that they removed her! D¦ I guess the site admins don't want to get into a philosophy debate about whether a singing program should be on a list of singers... I personally think it would be good to have that debate.

  • @Antakku if its fanmade then isnt it biased sorta and also its fanmade so their is no point in voting although i went on it and voted for shinee:)

  • @mubpfc I've just posted comments on lots of popular Vocaloid videos about it! :D

  • I love Akiko Yano... I certainly didn't expect her name to pop up for a vocaloid song!

  • @chiricharo dunno, probably since this was in Oktober and were almost at half of January

  • @polkol12 Now that you said it was posted on Oct... I just notice it was uploaded on my birthday! :D

  • @bluethewolf222 what a coincidence :D

  • A little bit more than a "little bit" of a Japanese accent...

I can't really even understand the lyrics without the provided lyrics as a visual aid.

  • I like music for this! It's Very....MODERN :D

  • I can understand her.......wow

  • I just think that this weird guitar sound was just uncessary...

  • Japanglish... worse than Spanglish and Germangligh put together... So hard to understand... ("^ _ ^ )

  • I think it was used with a stronger accent for this song, I mean listen to the original I cant wait for miku english

  • 2:01 it´s like gumi ._.

  • Comment removed

  • Y cant this design for miku be the official instead of the official one it dosnt look good TTnTT

  • @likevid123 I do hope they change their mind over the American design. Either keep the original or remodel it.

  • @likevid123 The "American Miku" design you're probably thinking of was NOT created to be the mascot for English Miku. That character was created to market American Miku to the JAPANESE public. Not the American public.

I have no idea WHY Crypton decided to do it that way... but that's what they did. The first time they marketed Miku here they only changed her original design very slightly. (adding two more hair-squares and another teal stripe on her skirt)

  • @dappleback phew what a relief

  • @likevid123 Exactly! What were they thinking when they chose the American design?!

  • @likevid123 Well why didn't Kaito and Meiko have a better design? Maybe that way they could have been famous and Miku would have never be created. Miku, for the way she is, IS the reason why Vocaloid is the way it is now.

  • @likevid123 That's not going to be her official design, apparently that was only used for a keychain or something, I knew Crypton wasn't THAT stupid.

  • @likevid123 If she was a newer vocaloid she would probably look better.

  • Nice but she is a bit to hard to understand through but I'm not surprised. I would love to see her officail demo in the spring....I just hope they focus on making her sound understandable rather then sound cool. that's what bothered me with SeeU's first demo, they tried to make her sound cute but it didn't flatter her voice at all.

  • You've got it wrong. This song is made for the magazine "POP THE HATSUNE MIKU" and is NOT an official demo song.

  • I'm very interested what song will be chosen for demonstration when the English voice bank is finished. I cannot imagine at all. But English-Miku is said to come out this spring. It's soon.

  • Im very interested to see what it can do, the song they picked to do a cover of was an odd one, I bet some really cool things could be done with her english voice bank.

  • She sounds like a bossa nova singer.... =w=

  • not bad but the music is so much higher then her voice its drounding "her" out. it hard to realy hear "Her"

  • Ugh this is horrible. Too chopy and the accent makes it sound a little weird. If you want a good english vocaloid, go check out power fx's vocaloids.

  • @BrittTaylor943 If she is English without an accent, it is not Miku anymore.
