@TheLASTOutlawdeadman This wasn't a display manoeuvre, this was a break to land. Its a standard procedure in the military done by all fast jets. The reds do it slightly differently as there are 9 aircraft to get on the ground, Thats why they are seen breaking left and right. Its a high G turn that slows the aircraft down. They only had one crash last year, and that was there first crash while practicing in a very long time! Red 4, you will be missed!

Pilot avoided houses and crashed, there are rumours that he ejected at the last moment after steering his plane away from a residential area but sadly his death has now been confirmed. Video footage suggests this is a fault with the aircraft and not pilot error.

They havnt confirmed the pilot died but there was no ejection from the plane, and they would have said if the pilot survived and there keeping quite so most likely there telling the family first.
I am afraid I have it on high authority that the pilot didn't survive. I am not allowed to say too much else but you'll all find out some pretty sad stuff in the next few days......He DID eject, but too late and hit the river bank with force. He died a couple of hours ago in hospital. He stayed in the plane to ensure it would not crash into surrounding houses but in trying to save other people's lives, he lost his own. RIP.
They haven't released anything on the pilot yet, i believe it was Red 4 from what i heard. I hope he's ok, didn't see an ejection though! Hopefully he got out as it went below the tree line!
@jonny96 jonny, just watched bbc news, they said members of the public who went to find him saw the ejection seat and the parachute in/on the river, and the pilot was lying on the embankment ont he other side, so thankfully he did eject :)

They havnt confirmed the pilot died but there was no ejection from the plane, and they would have said if the pilot survived and there keeping quite so most likely there telling the family first.

I am afraid I have it on high authority that the pilot didn't survive. I am not allowed to say too much else but you'll all find out some pretty sad stuff in the next few days......He DID eject, but too late and hit the river bank with force. He died a couple of hours ago in hospital. He stayed in the plane to ensure it would not crash into surrounding houses but in trying to save other people's lives, he lost his own. RIP.

They haven't released anything on the pilot yet, i believe it was Red 4 from what i heard. I hope he's ok, didn't see an ejection though! Hopefully he got out as it went below the tree line!

@jonny96 jonny, just watched bbc news, they said members of the public who went to find him saw the ejection seat and the parachute in/on the river, and the pilot was lying on the embankment ont he other side, so thankfully he did eject :)
