  • Im no vegitarian by no means but I will never eat that !! That is ridiculous ! How can anyone say that it tastes good knowing what that bird goes through for them to eat it...what is this world coming to ?

  • So my PETA friend was taking me to get an abortion, when she decided to go to a rally to protest animal cruelty instead. Oh well...I took the bus.

  • mmmm amimal cruelty tastes sooo good though

  • @ItsKnucklez Callous Person !!!!!

  • This made me cry so much. Oh my goodness.

  • Foie Gras is NOT a diseased liver. there is so much misinformation in this video its unreal. PETA have to resort to out and out lies to 'prove' their point.

  • @poldsmobile

Liver enlargement is USUALLY an indicator of liver disease, liver function in foie gras birds is severely compromised. In medical terms, the liver is in a state of dysfunction called hepatic lipidosis or hepatic steatosis you FUCKING MORON!!!

  • @boxers7x5 that comment proves you do not understand how the liver of a migratory bird works. Probably better to research these things before making yourself look silly..

  • @poldsmobile

Actually, I do how the liver works with migratory ducks and geese. They regularly fatten their livers to twice their size, not TENFOLD their size!!! Also, the ducks commonly used in foie gras production are NOT migratory birds.

Probably better for you to do some research before making a fool of yourself.

  • @boxers7x5 I'm not going to get into an argument, PETA nut jobs like you would tell people white was black if they felt it was relevant to their 'cause'. It's obvious that like most activists you do no understand what you are protesting about. There will be no further replies to this, as you will never understand or accept that you are wrong. Bye bye.......

  • @poldsmobile

    Bye bye, ignorant deluded asshole.

  • @poldsmobile yeah!!! just listen to old morgue mouth

  • The two "experts" raise duck/geese, therefore, their OPINIONS are circumstantial. The "experts" are wearing garnment traditional of doctors. Sorry, they aren't doctors, they're Veterinarians.

Most of you idiots have never been to a farm that practices Foie Gras. The whole argument falls apart when the last idiot argues that very few farms produce Foie Gras in the United States. Well, if that's the case, we don't have a "WIDESPREAD" problem, do we? Sounds like a pansy personal issue.

  • all you whiners stfu and go eat some duck livers

  • @ 9:08 "it is not harmful for animals" ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? That guy needs to have a tube shoved down his throat!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This video is propaganda!

Foie gras has been a delicacy since the Egyptians when they noticed geese or ducks would fatten up and store fat in their livers before long flights... it's natural for them to fatten up..

and in regards to the force feeding we think because of gag reflex this would be cruel but ducks dont have gag reflex

you could boycott foie gras but i bet their living conditions are much better than america's modified corn fed tyson chicken dependancy

  • @TheAteamchef There is no way a duck's healthy liver could get that big without being force fed, which results in it being diseased. This isn't a propaganda. It is completely cruel and no, these ducks are not treated better then chickens. All farm animals all seem to suffer the same inhumane handling. Those ducks didn't look healthy and certainly their livers were very highly diseased from being force fed three times a day for four weeks. How is that natural? Do your reading first beforehand.

  • @TheAteamchef Yes!!!

  • @TheAteamchef

    You are a fucking moron!

  • I hope the end of the world comes!!! And I hope MAN is the only animal that will NOT survive!!!

  • Thank you for this video..very sad but raising awareness is powerful.

  • we will sone shut down foie gas we need to raid it AND PUT PEOPLE IN JAIL !!!!! AND IT WILL HAPPEN.

  • I had foie gras for dinner tonight and it did taste amazing. Just melts in your mouth. Also great with caramelized pears or apples... glass of porto or st-croix-du-mont... served on ginger bread or crackers... I guess this was the last time I will have it...

  • @chatshi LISTEN BITCH THOSE ducks are sufering cus poeple like you

  • Why do you insult me? You should be happy for Donald Duck that a month ago was the last time I had foie gras. This will definitely not change the fact that it is a delicacy and that it taste great. I can't lie about that. And it's not with stupidities that you will persuade people that it is wrong to eat foie gras.

  • My family and I are boycotting foei gras!

smileywiley33, I'm sorry, but a *respectable* opinion needs not anger nor insults. How old are you again?

Yes, the meat industry is cruel. So is the pet trade and anything related to the exploitation of animals. And, I know most want to spread the word, boycott meat, etc, but stone-throwing does *not* work. Honestly, if you lack tact, hush! It's counter-productive. Plus, it's difficult to agree with someone who farts holier-than-thou.

  • @thatimp it is people like you that save wildlife

  • wells we might as all turn ourselves into vegeterians..........i mean ducks aren't da only ones.....turkeys too you know? da farmers rape dem jus for fun.......shoving their whole hand too.......and also it must be happening to all other animals in which we humans eat.....

  • Common Sensely: pursuit of Personal high energetic beingness, self-interest of 'money' is the cause of abuse of animals, nature, other human beings.

Look up in the web. 'Equal money system' is the solution. Basic necessities, water, food shelter is share among 'all nations'.

  • where do I sign up to help petition against this disgusting act? looks like most of europe has already banned this! why is america always asleep at the wheel making change??

  • nice

  • @chjohnst Good question!!

  • @chjohnst Most of Europe has banned foie gras?? Where did you get that idea?? Foie gras is humane and delicious!!! Where do I sign up to petition against American morons who believe what they see on Youtube?

  • @morganwalker The production of force-fed Foie Gras is illegal throughout most of the European Union with the exception of France, Spain, Belgium and Bulgaria (and a few others). France and Hungary were given a 15yr grace period to figure out a more humane way of producing it. Learn to read sometime, it might make you less of a "moron".

  • @chjohnst With nearly 50 nations in Europe, and only 13 of which have banned foie production, I still don't see where you got the notion that "most of Europe" has banned foie. Perhaps you need to take your PETA loving ass back to school and learn the facts.

  • @morganwalker so true. ther are so many lies surrounding foie gras its unbelievable. FACT - Foie Gras is NOT produced from diseased livers. Foie Gras can be humanely produced by mimicking natural migratory bird feeding habits. those that opposed foie gras simply do not understand how the liver works in migratory birds, where the liver swells to ten times its normal size to provide an energy reserve for sustained flight during migration.

  • @morganwalker

Where do I sign up to petition for you having a metal tube shoved down your throat so we can force feed you three times a day?

  • jeffgerman

Your an idiot if you think just because there are other issues in this world that need to be addressed that they cancel out this one regarding animal cruelty to these ducks.

It's OK as long as it isn't happening to you right?

    WRONG!

It ISN'T Ok as long as it isn't happening to you and it isn't Ok just because "There are so many more important issues facing the world today"

If that were our attitude towards every issue then nothing would ever matter, would it?

  • jeffgerman, I was dying to respond to your remark because it was so incredibly stupid and callous, it's beyond belief.

"The bible says that man shall have dominion over all animals. Animals have no soul. Therefore they do not feel." The bible does NOT say we should torture animals...nor does it say that we should unnecessarily cause pain and suffering to any living creature! Animals have as much ability to feel pain as we do, you IDIOT!!

  • @smileywiley33 and wasnt treat others as you wish to be treated. part of the bible

  • @smileywiley33

You no what, it kinda does. Read your story of Cain and Abel. Abel was a shepherd. Cain the Farmer. God accepted the offerings Abel gave. He sacrified an animal. Cain brought fruit. Why then did God view Abel as the good guy and Cain as the bad guy??

  • @jeffgerman

You're a sick twisted fuck. I hope you believe in Hell, because that's where you're going for being an arrogant cold bastard.

  • @boxers7x5

Restaurants throw live lobsters in boiling hot water, factories cut off the heads of live chickens and turkeys, and people hunt deer for sport....and yet I'm the "sick twisted fuck". And Im going to hell??? Remember only God makes that decision, not you and in the book of Genesis Abel killed a sheep and was praised by God and later became a Martyr. Cain brought fruit and was shunned by God and is now viewed as evil. Think about it.

  • @jeffgerman

Ha ha, I was just talking about hell in jest....If you really believe Genesis and that book of fairy tales, you're more of a moron than I first thought.

  • @jeffgerman okay 1st of all those mythical people did not torture the animals they killed for worshipment and it wasnt real. 2nd that mythical person did not put the animal in a sort of cage which in what they couldnt move in. 3rd your right about the 1st sentence but it still deosnt mean its okay to torchure 1 more animal (duck).

  • I am very fond of animals, and as far as I'm concerned, whoever agrees with this practice, works in these farms just to make a living, and the rich jerks that eat this should be force-fed themselves. Whenever we see a human destroying their livers and getting grossly obese, it's a tragedy and we try to prevent it though medicine, exercise, etc. But, when it concerns an animal, "oh no. They are just animals, meant to eat and put on this planet just for that purpose".

  • If this is "one-sided", I'd sure be curious to know what the other side is?!

  • OK for one, when the tube is "jammed down its throat" it doesn't keep them from breathing, their wind pipe begins at their tongue. One small detail they left out. Another thing is some geese purposefully gorge for the coming winter and do this to themselves purposefully, granted not at the scale that these guys are doing.

  • This has been happening for a long time naturally, look it up in here Ethical Foie Gras it touches on this a little. How else did they find out about this liver if only because some farmer got hungry and put it together.

  • One more thing, its a sad state of affairs when its harder to be an animal doctor then it is to be an medical a doctor in the U.S., that says something about our ideals. Seems this country cares more about pets and animals instead of the homeless, witch sadly includes children. You want to do some real change, change that. Then I'll listen to your treat the animals more human and we're their guardians BS.

  • Flielow, you speak before thinking showing your lack of intellegence. Have you any idea of how many organizations devote their time, money and advertising on seeking help for the homeless and the hungry? By the way, "which" is not spelled like the witch in the Wizard of Oz. Your "philosophy" on fois gras is the same as any other selfish, ignorant person who is totally callous to something that simply doesn't interest him.

  • Flielow, I can't believe your stupidity, excuse me for being blunt. You say they can still breathe, so we're not supposed to be concerned about the large metal feeding tube jammed down the birds neck....I think I'd like to try that on you....wanna try??

  • Flielow, what is "one sided" and opinionated about this video? The subject is how fois gras is made, what it is, and the cruelty of it. What is your beef as to the one sidedness of it? Tell me please? It is straightforward and factual. You have no valid point.

  • Great movie. How staggering that this is legal. Thanks for exposing this and fighting for a ban.

  • Nothing wrong with eating meat, sharks and lions do. But they dont eat foie gras and veal. Hunting is far more humane than factory farming.

  • while watching this video, I cried at the part where they stuffed down those iron poles down the ducks throat. It reminded me of when I was younger, and I seen the adults kill ducks on the farm.

  • I eat meat and I'm not gonna change because of this, mainly cause I never eat liver at all, in any form, and therefor this has no effect on my mind, nor my eating habits.

  • So sad!! This is exactly why I never eat any meat or dairy...

  • Yummy
