Hi, does this allow me to use this sound card without the numark total control? I am after a sound card that allows me to mix on virtual DJ but also cue up tunes(ie listen to next tune in headfones and hear main song through speakers)

I want to connect this to my PC and then use laptop ONLY to mix and main sound coming through to my amp and speakers. Please advise. I have a Behringer UCA 222 but I do not think it supports this feature.. Thanks

I just got this sound card and I was confused when I connected the speakers to monitor output. The output was the same as headphones/cueing. Is this what is suppose to be heard in a DJ booh? I was under the impression that monitor output was so the DJ can hear what the crowd is hearing. If I knew this I would have gone with a different sound card.

@Splurgeyourheadoff Yes - VDJ just routes the sound to whatever sound card(s) - The PC(Laptop) sound could be the mains and a USB Card for the MONITOR (PFL, Phones...)

Use USB 2.0 so you can use both output channels. Only 1 channel will output without the 2.0 connection. good vid.

na man you are going to need to get a sound card that has 4 inputs and 4 outputs to be able to run it off serato, the dj io only has one input and one out put.

no you won't be able to, just because the io only have one input and one output. you need 4 inputs and 4 outputs to run your turntables.

the software cue 5 has a video out put setting which will let you mix videos, but on the dj io and total control it doesnt have an output to do videos. just the software does, hope i answered your question

no problem i try and get to everyone. and you can record video and audio but it does it in wav and not mp3 unless you get the full version. you will have to get a special software which i dont know to be able to burn it on to a cd

Ok I really need to figure this out! I run my total control with my dj/io, now the biggest problem i have is this muffled music that keeps playing from my speakers. Now when I run the laptop straight to my mixer I don't have any problems with the muffled sound, in fact it sounds way better. Could it be that my settings are wrong or I just have a bad DJ/IO.

Ok I have made the move to buying the Numark Total Control. I got it hooked up and nothing? I would have thought some type of power would run through but nothing. I am running Vista on the Laptop Could this be the problem?

have you tried uninstalling the program and doing all over again. you do have that power cored that hooks up to the total control try that. does any lights turn on? i am not to sure if its vista or not, give numark a call
