AskPatty dot com announced their Let's Race for a Cause charity motorsports event in Second Life on Pontiac's Motorati Island to take place at the Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at 12 p.m. PST. Female NASCAR driver Deborah Renshaw will race in Real Life on the same day, driving the No. 112 UnitedSpinal Chevrolet at Nashville's Motorplex Speedway in support of the Second Life events.
The mission of United Spinal Association's Motorsports program is to encourage people with disabilities, including individuals who
use adaptive automotive equipment, to participate in competitive motorsports. It is also to cultivate partnerships within the motorsports industry in support of the program, thus raising awareness about spinal cord injuries and disorders.
