While Gandhi was on Hunger Strike to oppose the Dalit demand of "Double Voting Power Right" ,which was brought by The Great Dr.B.R.Ambekar for Dalit from then Ruler to empower the Dalits, M.K.Gandhi had threatened to kill all the Dalit in India, if they don't take their demand back. Gandhi had ordered Congress to kill the Dalit. To save the Dalit from Congress attack ,there was a pact between Dr.B.R.Ambedkar and Gandhi that was called infamous "Pune Pact"

To answer the question why Gandhi was assusbated, I have heard a few thoroes. One is that Nathurajan Gods his assis thought Gandhi was being too soft on non-Hindus, Another theory is that Godse was just plain crazy,When Jawarhalal Nehru eulogized his friend and mentor, he touched on the madmness issue,and also said India had lost a great light,and spirutl leader.Either wayhm a great and most beloved figure ws slain. I consider Gamdhi a personal hero

My mind explodes when I think of the kind of world we can live in if even at least 1% of the population lived like Gandhi did. Such an inspirational person and movie.

@charlieking100 Gandhi ji was killed by Congress not by Britishers. because after independence they knew that in Congress some persons are same as Britishers. he wrote a message for all indians that finish Congress party, because they are same as britishers.
