I love Ozzy, he is the father of metal, but Dio and Tony Martin just as good as Ozzy if you take the time to their music without bios views, Dio made them harder, Tony Martin made them much more evil. They all contributed to the band equally.
I cannot understand why the new metal bands do not look to the old guys for influence. That's why music in the 60s through the early 90s was so much better than today's stuff. Most of the old rock and metal groups got their influence from the blues. You don't see the newer bands playing those awesome guitar solos like these guys did.

@rjackson1371 Heaven and Hell went to #9 in the UK & #28 in the USA and its the third highest-selling album for Black Sabbath behind Paranoid and Master of Reality. Never Say Die went to only #12 in the UK charts and #69 in the USA so yeah Heaven and Hell did a lot better! Never Say Die didn't go Gold until 1997!
Is that why Sabbath was doing so well with H&H and the Mob Rules that Ozzy was reduced to making racist quips about them onstage? Anyway, it says a lot about how much of a metal fan someone is if they suggest that commercial appeal is somehow a good indication of how good an artist is.
HIlarious. Ozzy wrote exactly nothing for those Sabbath albums, and his voice certainly wasn't what carried the band. Iommi's riffs did that. As for his solo career, for anyone to say he is still attracting the best guitarists of all time, they would have to be totally out of touch with reality. Hell, to suggest that Zakk Wylde was one of those is ridiculous.

No it was a bat! Ozzy had a fake bat on the concert stage and some one had replaced it with a real bat, and he fainted on stage and had a hundred a twenty one shots in his adominal area. Ozzy- John Michael Osbourne has said it him self. and it was at the de moins, Iowa concert Hall in 1982 Randy was still alive at the time.

I love Ozzy, he is the father of metal, but Dio and Tony Martin just as good as Ozzy if you take the time to their music without bios views, Dio made them harder, Tony Martin made them much more evil. They all contributed to the band equally.

I cannot understand why the new metal bands do not look to the old guys for influence. That's why music in the 60s through the early 90s was so much better than today's stuff. Most of the old rock and metal groups got their influence from the blues. You don't see the newer bands playing those awesome guitar solos like these guys did.

This was the very first concert I ever went to...Ozzy's Ultimate Sin and Metallica's Master Of Puppets...this video is exactly the way the show was from Oz comin down
in the demon chair... stage set up and all it was great..what a hell of a show for my first one...one more thing props to Jake E Lee he does not get the credit he deserves..thumbs up on the vid

@rjackson1371 Heaven and Hell went to #9 in the UK & #28 in the USA and its the third highest-selling album for Black Sabbath behind Paranoid and Master of Reality. Never Say Die went to only #12 in the UK charts and #69 in the USA so yeah Heaven and Hell did a lot better! Never Say Die didn't go Gold until 1997!

Is that why Sabbath was doing so well with H&H and the Mob Rules that Ozzy was reduced to making racist quips about them onstage? Anyway, it says a lot about how much of a metal fan someone is if they suggest that commercial appeal is somehow a good indication of how good an artist is.

HIlarious. Ozzy wrote exactly nothing for those Sabbath albums, and his voice certainly wasn't what carried the band. Iommi's riffs did that. As for his solo career, for anyone to say he is still attracting the best guitarists of all time, they would have to be totally out of touch with reality. Hell, to suggest that Zakk Wylde was one of those is ridiculous.

@CripplingDuality - Say what you like. What is Iommi doing with him self these days. Hmmmm. At least Ozzy is still giving it a red hot go. Talent is measured in different ways. A guitarist's success is measured by exposure and popularity then financial gain. All of ozzy's guitarists have achieved this. Check out Paul Gilbert as a guitarist. Just letting you know my world doesn't revolve around Ozzy. I am a fan not a preacher. Keep the preaching for the make believe world of religion.
