That's the point, he didn't have to leave his home when he became rich and famous and then ceased to be working class. The guy stayed in bed surrounded by wealth writing music as a protest to the war. Yeah good one John, what a working class hero you were. Unfortunately it was the real working class that had to go to war and die for a country that couldn't care less about them while John made more money. I'm not saying it's his fault he made so much cash but he didn't lead a working class life

You ask what is he supposed to do with all that money? Put it this way, if it were me (and this is the truth) I would not accept the riches offered to me as I believe very strongly in setting an example of equaility and fairness. I also know people who have refused to earn more than the average wage to support this notion.

To have that much wealth when we have so much poverty in our world is crime against humanity. That is the truth, even if it is hard for many to accept.
