  • I would expect to see more. Jackie Gleason depot here in Brooklyn is gonna get 171 more of them.

  • @AlgonquinRider810 Then maybe I should camp out on I-90, huh? Or at least set up a time-lapse camera.

  • remeber the south park jersey episode? the same thing but for transit, mta is spreading

  • Well 296 is going to live , 297 got into an accident the whole front corner - middle of the bus on the right side is damaged . So they are going to build another 297 and drive it down .

  • @CiBoii2 what the F*** this is crazy....so already 1 bus retired!! this is crazy!!

  • @XxLiLGiJoE17xX They can fix it if they are able to .

  • @CiBoii2 THIS 297 got into an accident? So soon? Damn, well that sucks. I hope everyone was okay at least.

  • @joseg2143 Its down here now it was in service on wednesday , its 297 #2 , they gave mta a free bus & its the 2nd 297 .

  • @CiBoii2 No it is NOT the 2nd 297. That is the very first 297, that was fixed and brought down

  • @rts9100 oh I thought they didnt fix it and got a 2nd one

  • Nice catch!

  • @NYBOY75 Thanks! I got another great one today, 4 MTA North Central Kawasaki M8's being towed by a UP engine. No idea exactly where those were going, but I guess NYC? I'll upload that tonight.

  • Yup, those are the MTAs C40LF being driven to NYC.

  • Nice catch. It would be interesting to see some Xcelsiors heading down 90.

  • Those Are Going To West Farms Depot In The Bronx

  • wow, i thought the D40LF body wasnt produced anymore and that the D40LFR was the current standard model........guess i was wrong

  • @97SCT

NYC used up the last slots for the old style on the production line as well as Chicago. After that, they will only produce the Xcelsiors and restyled buses only.

  • @bigken6005 ahh okay i see

  • Actually, thses are New Flyer C40LF's....And yeah i feel you, my freind was there one time, and he was suprised seeing all types of buses going down that highway lol

  • @WMATAvids Thanks for clearing that up!

  • it was 296 &297

  • @alexcbzs27 They are XD40's, right? I just read that they're made in MN, so I figure I-90's the best way to NYC. I was completely surprised to see these on the same highways our CTA buses use.

  • @joseg2143 i thinks they where there as demo buses to show mta's many improvements and buses they got in 2011

  • @gtasandman We've gotten many hybrid buses ourselves here in Chicago over the last few years, matter of fact, our whole bus fleet is hybrid. Given the fact these are built in MN, I figure they were just passing through to NYC.

  • @joseg2143 oh ok

  • @joseg2143 no these are New C40LF's being delivered to NYC buses # 296 and #297

  • I like how they have the "Not in Service" message up

  • @BlockSignals Yeah, I know right? Like if they'd actually pick customers up a thousand miles away from home, hahaha.
