Like in this movie we need the Kevin Flynn's of the world to hack into New World Order computers the battle for freedom from the New World Order Master Control Program has now gone into cyberspace! Just like in Tron!

Ahhhhhhhhh........RETROGASM!! That said, I'm so glad I finally had the money to pre-order my copies of Tron and Tron: Legacy from Amazon today. Sure I still have to wait about two weeks for them to get here but I'm very excited, especially because the original Tron has been out of print for about five or six years now. I wonder how many people were influenced by this film to take up a career in IT. I suspect millions of people must have chosen IT as a career because of this film. It was the first movie I know that showed IT employees in a big computer company going about their business. I always thought the ENCOM offices looked cool, and the employees didn't look like the work was drudgery but interesting, pretty cool for computer offices in 1982 irony is in the 21st century IT offices look exaclty like Encom.

i kinda hoped the new TRON movie would be based on a more advanced story...(instead of calling it the GRID, perhaps they can call it the WEB/Net...and the programs can go from one pc to another...one server to another...and battle against the hacker programs from all over the world (or just one really good hacker trying to destroy the world and TRON have to prevent it)

The best way I can describe this is as a 'Teaser Trailer.' Given away by the fact that the graphics shown of Flynn being transported into the digital world are not complete (these 'work in process' graphics were shown in black and white in the TRON 20th Anniversary DVD Trailer section.).

Also this trailer was shown on the UK PAL VHS of Herbie Goes Bananas and was designated with a special sticker on the cover saying "Contains a Sneek Peek at Disney's TRON!" That's my analysis anyway!

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is made for UK trailer as the DVD does not feature this trailer at all. It is a real shame as the music and action in this is really great while the others on the DVD release are very mundane
