  • 4 años de duro entrenamiento para posteriormente lesionarse en los Juegos Olimpicos.

    Porca miseria!

  • this is good but I believe a more appropriate video is John Stephen Akwari...he was the first one to do this..finishing the race with injury...

  • God Bless Great Britain

  • this is in russian god damnit.

  • dangg!! enough with the harsh backlashes...lets just enjoy this wonderful video an see the true meaning...to take part in the games.

  • I'll never forget this video. It was during recession when I had no job for a long period. I used to blame everything but myself and was pissed off all the time. One night I saw this video and just could not stop crying. This video had tremendous impact on me. I started living positively and came out of that situation intact. Today I'm a happy person.

  • 5 people doesn't have courage.

AMAZING. An example for everybody. Bravo Derek, eres un grande.

  • @mainstream,he is a loser indeed, everyone remembers the first place. but those like you who cant read a sportsman's determination and his desire to finish the race

are like half filled vessels! learn to be sport! your soul and mind is dead its obvious!

  • this for me is still the best moment in olympic history

  • Heart determination to finish the race I say, he kept pushing no matter how much heart broken he lost that day. As he limped around the track, his father came waving to the medic to please get back..the son was in tears and in so much pain, the world will never forget the father and son 92 Olympic games. Never quit no matter what you do, this is an example of determination to follow through. They are winners in my book, I'm proud to say, It just a reminder, to always finish & never quit noway!

  • @MainstreamROCKS32 But everyone had remembered the last.

  • @MainstreamROCKS323: Fortunately.. to this day everyone still remembers Derek Redmond even though he came last... unfortunately 90% of the people who has seen this video do not still know who came first... fortunately, noone will remember you... unfortunately, people like you are still allowed to speak whatever they want on the internet

  • @maytiwar Oh yeah like I really care that badly or worried people on youtube are gonna remember me or not lmao. Nice try dumbass, your probably one of those faggots that go cry there ass's off oneach episode of that deadliest catch shit lmao.

  • @maytiwar Fourtunately people like him are still allowed to speak up whatever they want on the internet. He might be an ass but that is a right we all in the world should have (and is not happening). I think it was Voltaire who said: "I don't believe on what you say but I would give my life for your right to say it freely." Excuse my poor english.

  • Dislikes are measured in idiots.

  • what is the music in the background? who wrote it and who sung it?

  • it sounds like sean bean

  • that's what i call BRAVE MAN!

  • wow!i salute him!

  • So what does this help for my E Learning

  • i also have to do this for my e learning

  • @happycutiegirl

    bedok green sec?

  • @jundidididi

    yup

  • beautiful and inspiring, just perfect!

however i cant understand how some (most of) people dont want to respect the values which herald the olympic games, like friendship and peace

  • this man earned my respect.

  • Can someone tell me what is the name of this song, thank you

  • Clear Cognition: You mocked up your reactive mind.

OT8 Cognition: You mocked up the Space Opera, your past lives and your BT infestation.

The trigger for the OT8 cognition is the line "the Pilot says: I'm mocking this up". The desired End Phenomena is "Now that I know what I am not, I am ready to find out what I am".

LRH wanted you to be dazzled and keep forking over your money, as opposed to being outraged and demanding a full refund. This is the exit strategy of a "long con".

  • you can tell how fast he is just by how smoothly he hops on one leg

  • What is the music?

  • I think the IOC did an amzing job with the campagne "Celebrate Humanity" ! Several moments they used have been used by commercial or in youtube montages...But few of them have the simplicity and the emotional strenght of these videos.

  • you cannot measure courage! Amazing!

  • man I love this video so much, what heart.

  • bottle job

  • I cried a bit watching this.

  • It's loser, not 'looser'. That means something different entirely.

  • no hes remembered you moron because despite injury he still managed to finish the race which is easier said than done.

  • best vid i ever seen T.T

  • who is this?

  • Derek Redmond. Jesus..

  • ahahaha robin williams

  • But you have to admit, what he did was amazing. Most people would have just stopped.

  • he did if for his country wtf you talking about, he was fuckin still running on his leg he could have done permanent damage to it you would be on the fuckin floor crying like a baby if that happend to you so shut your fuckin mouth it is courageous

  • no, courage is not putting yourself in danger for someone else or your country. courage, by definition, has nothing to do with other people. it is the ability to show INNER STRENGTH (which he did do). go jerk off thinking about the military somewhere else

  • You got to be the BIGGEST asshole on the planet for saying that! Not only are you an Asshole but your a dumbass because Derick raymond personafied everything there is about COURAGE.

  • cour⋅age /ˈkɜrɪdʒ, ˈkʌr-/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kur-ij, kuhr-]

    noun

    1. the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.

    NOW STFU.

  • I don't understand, in English "chill" means something that is heart warming?

  • chill either means cold or somthing about just hanging around the house, or to stop being mad, are sumthing that is awesome

  • well done redmonds dad u r a great dad to ur son

  • Right on. I'm a father. I can imagine the torrent of emotions he's feeling for his boy. Mostly pride towering above all else, I'd say.

  • eaglebb20, your such an arrogant bitch..you don't know the true meaning of courage because you don't have one. all you have is a fucking mouth with a fucking breath.

  • friki

  • eaglebb20, your such an arrogant bitch..you don't know the true meaning of courage because you don't have one. all you have is a fucking mouth with a fucking breath.

  • this is one of the most inspirational videos iv ever seen it really does signify all that the olympic games stands for the courage he shows in this video is something to strive for.

ps to gmactera your a fucking idiot this actually happend its not jus for a add so dont comment on shit you dont know moron

  • You guys are sayiny that he's a weak nigger are assholes! What would you have done if you were in his shoes at the time. This probably ment a lot to him

  • your a fucking asshole! get a life your not cool

  • you'll forever be the little insignificant guy on the sidelines, pouting, who'll never himself amount to anything. So enjoy your 1.5 seconds of youtube fame. You are, and forever will be, a failure.

  • what movie is the audio taken from? does anybody know, it sounds like Robin Williams

  • it is robin williams

  • Thank you i wasnt quite sure

  • anyone know the music on the background? spine chilling stuff right there

  • This is actually 2 different Olympic moments stuck together. The crowd scenes are definitely, definitely taken from the moment Greg Louganis hit his head whilst diving in the 1988 Olympics. I just can't understand why they would edit the original Redmond race footage. Its moving enough without messing about with it.

  • different countries spell some words differntly than the US, dont be ignorant.

  • Idiota, crees que en todo el mundo se habla ingles??

  • Most inspirational piece of Olympic Games footage ever.

  • if they showed him with his dad it would have made a huge diference. Derek redmond and his father are so inspirational

  • they should've shown his dad with him

  • I agree.

That's what makes it more amazing than ever.

The fact his dad pushed through security just to get to his son.

  • Prior to the olympics, I suddenly remembered this video. So inspiring. Celebrate humanity people!

  • u can't measure courage
