I agree with you Mrfoltz about Mariannes voice sounder better then ever. Perhaps her giving up her trademark cigarettes indeed did benefit her voice and health. I just saw her at UCLA Royce Hall in Los Angeles and she was beyond amazing. I had the best seats 7th row center and everytime I would yell out to her she would respond and bow after each number. The next day she got an incredible review in the LA times. Her new record is gorgeous! I saw she is back on the Decca label where she started.
