I absolutely loved this scene on many levels the first time I beat DA:O - Shale's goodbye in particular still makes me giggle. My female human rogue warden went on to become Queen and I must say the diehard RPGer in me geeked out hard on the last 'I love you' with Alistair. After all they'd been through and could potentially have at that point - it was just the right thing to say. No grand speeches, no needless emoting; just simply saying what was most important. Brilliant writing!

@heatherwind Totally agree on this one! BioWare creates games that are finally games for guys *and* girls, in perfect balance I think. Making friends with the NPCs and chosing your own way makes the meta plot BioWare wrote feel even more.. personal. It really took me! Great great great BioWare, thank you for this <3

@heatherwind This was my number one most heart felt moment of gaming in all my 15+ years of gaming. I nearly cried during the farewells and then charged into battle while quoting manowar lyrics. Serith (Human Noble Male), Alistar, and Sven and or shale (i can't remember exactly). It was a truely amazing game that the i wish they'd make another that is at least equally good. DA2 was rather disappointing in my opinion.

@shadowwolf22222 get him to a somewhat high friendship. almost try to romance, but all the way is not needed. I romanced him and he helped me fight the crows. He has a few things he likes. Dalish gloves, Antivan leather boots. Those are him plot items. He also likes Gold and Silver bars i believe. He has to be around 60% - 75% approval, but it doesnt take much to bed him. Every time you have sex gives +1. though there is a way to get +7, but i cant remember.

@shadowwolf22222 I have a thing for having all my companions at 100 aproval, so I've personally never come to have him betray me, but I think you just need about 30 or so to get him not to side with the crows, a few gifts should be more than enough.
