  • Saw Frank at Cambridge Folk Festival 2011, nothing will ever beat it. Long live Frank Turner :))

  • i played this in a school concert and before my friends were like 'who the Fuck is Frank Turner' now their like Frank Turner is my favorite singer

  • I love it, reminds me of Defiance, Ohio

  • How isnt Frank Turner a world wide known singer? He's most possibly the best singer to walk this earth <3

  • how could anyone dislike this lol like seriously though!

  • An amazing song, not his best but a really cool video!

  • She said, "I'm dying but I'm not finished just yet,"

Yeah, "I'm dying for a drink and for a cigarette."

  • I've heard this song a million times and I still get goosebumps.

  • This is what British music is all about - meaningful lyrics, great songs and a good old British accent. I'm proud of Frank, and everyone else should be.

  • I love that the very beginning of A Love Worth Keeping started at the very end of this video haha

  • orgasmic live

  • I missed him at Download this year ): I wasn't waiting round in the pissing rain for 8 hours cold and hung over after 5 days of nothing but alcohol, and i'd run out of fags :/ but maybe he'll be there next year :D

  • A very good friend of mine were learning how to play the guitar together and I told him we should remake this song. He died in a car wreck about a month later. This song, it just means so much to me in so many ways. I'm so happy Frank wrote this beautiful song for his friend, it makes me want to write a song for Travis.

  • I didn't need to hear any more of this album to convince me to buy it! Just great :)

  • The worrying thing is this video has only had 654,000 views... i'm losing faith in humanity

  • Great lyrics. Truely inspiring. Nice one Frankyboy.

  • wow... astonishing!

  • Genuinely the most beautiful song ever.

  • <3

  • oh god... this song... :'( my god

  • My dad died just a few hours ago. I immediately thought of this song. It helps. He loved Frank Turner

  • @keao1989 <3 so sorry about your dad

  • this song sends a chill down my spine, its only when i truely listened to the meaning of the lyrics that i understood just how beautiful it is. i've liked frankie t for a while now but i saw him live for the first time at reading and he was incredible. going to see him in november, can't wait :)

  • This needs sooooo many more views.

  • anyone the tabs to this song

  • Where has that comment by the daughter of the woman this song was dedicated to gone? =*(

  • @kevkevwarriorz right now it's on page 14. The user is KiaAmber1390.

  • great song - your mum must have been a pretty awesome lady Kia!

  • love the sentiment at the end shot.... a drink to absent friends

  • the fact that I stumbled upon this man is nothing short of a miracle

  • I want to cry

  • Lovely

(Posted by Youtube Stream for iPhone (yst.me) on behalf of hena01@msn.com at twitter)

  • This song has made me cry since the first time I heard it. The video is beautiful and knowing that the children of the woman the song is dedicated to are in the video makes it all the more so. I lost my mother 10 years ago (though not to cancer, but stroke) and it feels like a song one of her friends would have dedicated to her. Simply stunning. Thank you.

  • Can help thinking of my mum whenever I hear this song, She died of cancer nearly 5 years ago and she used to always make jokes that if we didn't carry living life to the fullest like we always had that she would haunt us. This song just reminds me that as crappy as things can get, you can't let it ruin you! Never really listened to frank turner until Reading festival this summer but i can truly say he has become a hero of mine!!!

  • horripilation

  • I like this, because it's beautiful... but I dislike it because it makes me sad.... What button do I click?

  • @Slanderous23 You like it because it's beautiful and you like it because it's cathartic, did that help? :)

  • This song reminds me of my Mum, lost her a few months ago to cancer. She wanted us to carrying on her parties and we've raised many glasses to her since and it's heartbreaking but I know she's watching over and she's happy that we're carrying on with her in our hearts <3

  • I've been a long time Frank fan. This past weekend I lost two friends (and two friends to the entire University I attend) long before their times should've been up, to a heart attack and car accident, respectively. I shared this song with many people to help them understand that these two wonderful people would want us to be happy to have shared a brief time together with them, and to enjoy the time the rest of us have left. Thank you Frank, for being a true storyteller and giving us all solace.

  • It was maybe the third time I heard this song that it got me, I guess I wasn't really listening the first couple of times. That time though, I cried in a way I hadn't in 10 years, huge sobs.

I never knew Lex, but perhaps having attended the mini-festival/fund raiser held in her honour each year a couple of times, & hearing the immense feeling that so many had for her was a factor. but (with all respect) It wasn't her I was crying for, but every relative and every friend lost. Fuck cancer.

  • This actually made me cry.

  • LEEDS FEST 2011, HE. WAS. AMAZING. <3

  • @jammihoops reading fest wins. :]

  • @eddiet666 hahaa fuck off mate, reading may be bigger, more to do and more to see, but leeds has 100% heart and spirit!!

  • @jammihoops For me, its reading all the way :]

  • @jammihoops ALSO READING 2011 TOO :D During Photosynthesis he got the whole crowd at the main stage to sit down and jump up when he sang 'and i wont sit down, i won't shutup', and there was literally thousands of people there, was incredible. It was literally the best atmosphere of any live set i have ever seen, so much love for Frank and his music!

  • @Smallenface yehh he did the same at leeds aswell, it was insane, he is insane

  • what an incredible and moving song. goes to show that real music is still being written- so much love for this man

  • I've never experienced death over a long period of time, and I never see myself as the kind of person that cries. But this really brings a tear to my eye. Such a beautiful song.

  • I pretty much cried at this during Reading fest.

  • @Alex16Sansom I did cry at Reading fest! My mate was like WTF!

  • @EllieF1 I cried at Bestival on Friday!!

  • Canadian here, trying my best to share your music around the area here. Fucking brilliant.

  • ...beautiful.

  • Would genuinely turn gay for this man.

  • @lolwutage1996 I did turn gay for this man :P

  • fucking awesome

  • you'll have to dance, for the two of us :'(

  • Heidi, I know you would be saying this to me.....sorry i still seem so sad after two years, but I miss you." Now I"ll have to dance for the two of us" The best of times and my hardiest laughs were spent with you. Love you friend.

  • My Auntie is dying from cancer at the moment, and everytime I hear this song I think of her, and my grandad who died from cancer in 2007. It's my favourite song, and I can't wait to hear him perform it in Manchester! Amazing <3

  • Rest in peace Matthew Shumway! Gainesville Florida will NEVER forget you

  • I saw him live, he said "I will cry, i always do when i sing this song" and guess what..he did. So did every single person in that arena.<3

  • goosebumps.

  • @tidymedia <3

  • its weird, my mum died of the same thing a few years ago and when i first heard this song it made me think of her, i cried. I love this song and my mum and yours will live within us forever! Lets dance!

  • @vivienpeach My mum died in July and I too thought of my Mum when I heard this - it is a lovely uplifting song that made me bawl a bit (in a good way :D) - Thank you Frank I love the sentiment expressed by your music! xx

  • How can you possibly dislike this? How can you honestly bring ourself to click that button, it's an incredible song. I defy anyone who clicked that button to write anything more touching and beautiful.

  • to the 31 people that disliked; die in a fire.

  • @ROtotheB i think you'll find there are two people in my video, yes one is black. the other is white... who is me - im PRETTY sure i am who i say i am.

  • How does mr bean meets the queen have over 5 million views and this only 500,000....

  • i love this video

  • Catchy tune!

  • This song brings tears to my eyes, honestly. This song is so damn beautiful and well written.

  • saw him at a consert in wembley last year as a warm up act

  • First heard this a year ago on a radio one listener's pic whilst studying for my AS level exams. Now, even though the lyrics don't really have anything to do with it, this song is sort of the anthemn to the end of my childhood.

  • Sprout Juice is specifically prohibited by the Geneva Convention, but I think we should make the exception in this case.

  • Saw him live in Germany last year, he really beated bands like Blink 182 just with sitting on stage playing guitar..

  • Every song Frank makes has lovely lyrics and melody, true poet!

  • Abseloutley love this song, Frank Turner's a legend.

  • those 30 dislikes should be Hung, shot in the legs, have their face rubbed in wet concrete then drowned in sprout juice. They Satans of the music world not to mention being rude to Frank coz this is about his friend. This face is for the 30 haters >:-(

  • @Bagramal13 sprout juice! LOLOL!!!!!

  • I MET FRANK TURNER !!

  • @fulham987 I met Frank Turner, took photo with him and got hugged by him! :P

  • @TheMiddleHanded yea same m8 at kingston?? i hugged him aswell :!!!!!!!!!!!! and took a photo but it came out really shit and you cant even tell its him :p

  • @fulham987 Nah mate. Poznan, at Meskalina club. 50 people on the gig, but it sure was wild! Such small gigs are totally awesome, we all have sung our hearts out (and me, I've as well screamed my lungs out :P)!

  • Thanks. Terrific song! Love from Canada.

  • @kiaamber1390 ... this song really hit home, I lost my best friend to cancer almost two years ago and this song really helped(s) me whenever I get down thinking about her. I'm sorry for your loss and I'm so glad that Frank Turner did this song for your mum

  • i aint a "cryer" but this song makes me want to cry

  • I have had loss in my life, but to be able to put it into words like that is truly amazing.. and @KiaAmber1390 I am very sorry for your loss..

  • Much love for this song

  • this song was dedicated to my strong and beautiful mum, who was a close friend of frank's, sadly she passed away 3 years ago from cancer. the two kids in the video (blonde girl sitting at the front and the boy who does the graffiti) are my little brother and myself, frank called us up and asked us to be a part of this video for this amazing song, he really is an amazing person.

  • Comment removed

  • @ROtotheB sorry mate, id watch the whole of her video, then id remove that comment mate before its taken the wrong way.

  • @Karano1994 done and done, pretty ignorant of me. You can understand my skepticism, lot of idiots out there.

  • @Karano1994 Ahha, He did remove it and all! You have influence on people ;) x

  • @KiaAmber1390 hi sas!

  • @KiaAmber1390 Wow. Your mother sounds like an incredible person. It was brave and good of you be part of this tribute to her. Sorry for your loss :( hope you and your brother are ok

  • @KiaAmber1390 aww, is it true he smells of wood? i heard it somewhere

  • Comment removed

  • love this song, I listen to this song when my head gets stuck up on my own arse. Ao it's a daily play

  • Amazingly beautiful

    .

  • how could anyone not like frank turner. fucking awesome

  • Beautiful

  • I love this song. Hits close to home.

  • so fu***ng owesome on area 4 germany 2010 ^^ i love it

  • @Smallblondegirl It is. He donated the money from the single to breast cancer research, I think anyway

  • This is such a god end of gig jam.

  • This is my fav Song of him.

  • 28 people just died

  • @lordkunt How is that even in the slightest bit funny? There's indulging in these stupid youtube trends like a fool, and then there's just being straight up disrespectful.

  • @NickGBush

I'd rather not give him the courtesy of telling him he's an idiot. Perhaps a decade from now when he's twenty-two or so he'll realize it.

  • I'd never heard of him before Reading last year, I was captivated from start to finish and I'm certain he was my favorite act of the whole weekend.

This year I wasn't fussed about going until I heard he was playing again, but this time on the main stage. Now I have to go for him if nothing else. Funny how things can change in a year.

  • @Smallblondegirl It is a true story.

  • @Smallblondegirl it is

  • My friend said I'd like him but I wasn't sure. I regret listening sooner.

  • INCREDIBLE iv been listening to this song on repeat for the last few years and it never gets old...check out my covers of other frank songs :)

    FTHC!

  • This is the first song I've ever heard of Frank, and he is amazing!

  • @Smallblondegirl

    Sadly it is :'(

  • Best FT song ever

  • I swear to god ive never got chills that much to any other song!

  • see you at Leeds!!

  • Is that Chris T-T in the back? :)

  • @chayles89 Thats him, He's been playing with Frank for a long time now :)

  • @nickjameswright

Yeahhh I know, I saw him ages ago supporting Frank :)

  • Am I the only one who finds this, in a way, uplifting?

  • @UnrulyTrousers

It's supposed to be. It's an ode to life in honor of death.

  • @UnrulyTrousers No, mate.

  • I have this family, who don't know what emotion is. They've never seen me cry. I didn't know they COULD cry...

My friend gave me this CD. Dad and I were listening to it in the car, this song came on. Not a single word was said, but once it was finished, my dad and I looked at each other, both crying. In a weird way it was almost magic...

  • My wife came back p*ssed from Reading Festival last year and kept banging on about some bloke called Frank Turner. I grudgingly downloaded Love, Ire & Song. My mum was diagnozed w breast cancer and has since died aged 77; but she would have wanted me to "dance for the two of us". She'd he walked along the Great Wall of China; back-packed around NZ; visited the Taj Mahal in her late 60's / early 70's. Thanks Frank for a song that a sad; hard-hearted bastard like me can cry along to every time

  • love Frank Turner, this was the first song of his that I heard <3

  • If this song is about the death of a friend,

d'you think all of these people are friends of that who was lost?

    This'd be a nice sentiment.

  • @dgbworks

Yeah, most if not all of those people are part of that little group of musicians/friends.

  • @dgbworks He said once at reading before playing this song that its all about his friend who passed away

  • @Snoksy i remember him saying at the greenday concert last year it was for his friend who passed away, that is what music is truly about, passion and love :)

  • @dgbworks

I believe the child standing behind him is the child of their friend.

  • awesome song, and video :D

  • Comment removed

  • This should be the new National Anthem for England :)

  • @jadeR117 this "Thatcher Fucked the Kids." :P

  • 28 people should lock themselves away out of shame

  • Frank Turner doesn't get nearly the attention he deserves... this song shouldn't have 500,000 it should have 500,000,000!! He is what the music industry SHOULD be.

  • Complete and total legend.. Long live Frank Turner
