For some reason I always sang, "We'll Eat Chili Dogs" instead of "A reach in the dark" I knew for years that it wasn't right, but never got around to correcting myself.
Beautiful ... his work has always continued to develop over the years since the 1960s ... the first time I heard this it was mezmerizing and it still is ...
It is too bad that this album followed so close on the heels of Graceland . Not as many songs with " hooks " as Graceland had , but the vision and lyrics are so much more profound .
@KillMeNowVIII: I hear you. this was my mantra while I was going though a painful difficult phase of my life "To overcome an obstable or an enemy; to dominate the impossible in your life." Sometimes music is such a GIFT to the grieving spirit. Such an impetus to carry on against adversity. Anyway I loved this song, too. Deep emotional reverberations and much gratitude to Mr Paul Simon.
Thanks for posting this CD. I was able to complete my channel with it full of 75 Simon favorites. And that's only my favorites. Simon, a national treasure. Peace!
This is the best closing track to an album I have ever heard. It all comes together with indescribable beauty. I teared up when he sang "Olodumare is smiling in Heaven."

I keep hearing that Vampire Weekend draws its ideas from Paul Simon, so I finally looked him up.
And I really like this, so I'm going to listen to some more of his songs :)
