I really like it, though the high "Sorreeeeeh"'s at 1:371:42 and 1:50 are not that pleasant... But she has a very nice voice. A little different than Amy's, a little less powerful and opera-like. But nice too!

The sister you're thinking of is Amy's younger sister, Lori's older sister. She died at the age of 3 when Amy was 6, Lori wasn't even born yet. Her name was Bonnie, but Amy doesn't like people saying her name and won't discuss how she passed away. I think that's enough background knowledge to explain.
I did try to explain that, but Amy has expressed that she's uncomfortable with people talking about her sis (in particular using her name) in a Blender interview so I was doing my best to explain without being so blunt.

Yup, we established that fact a little while ago. Amy has stated that she doesn't like fans saying her sisters name, the one who passed away in an interview, so we were all trying to avoid it.

I think Solstice are quite different personally.... They have similarities, but they are relatively different.... I doubt Lori would try to replace her sister anyways, but I know what you mean.
It's the same with me, Amy Lee has been a part of my life since I was young..... she'll always be important and special to me, she'll probably always be my favorite singer as well to be honest

The piano pieces they write are just amazing, she's very talented, I don't think they want to go in the exact same direction as Ev but I can hear similarities. You'd know shes Amy's sister. This song is gorgeous.

its perfect until she gets to the "i'm sorry" part. it's like, i dont know, she "stretched" her voice too much it strained a little. just my opinion. but otherwise its perfect =)

haha, yeah I think that's the weakest bit of the song..... But she's young and new to singing and recording.... Even Amy Lee had a few mess-ups in the early recordings, I'm sure she'll improve lots once she has her ground...

I really like Lori's vocals & the bit where she sang "I'm sorry" contrary to opinion otherwise stated, I think it sounds really good & is very fitting when you think of the emotion in the song, its like she isn't just singing, she's actually saying it with meaning & emotion in song, If anyones heard anyone say "Im sorry" when they genuinely mean it, it never sounds nice so much as it sounds desperate..if thats the right word. I think a perfect vocal would dilute the emotion cos she be in control

wow, she has an amazing voice. Amy is in my opinion better though but only because Amy has a lower voice and i like that better than high pitched, but that was still incredible!

I agree completely, I wouldn't want anyone to try and replace Amy.... I'd hate it...
I think Solstice are quite different personally.... They have similarities, but they are relatively different.... I doubt Lori would try to replace her sister anyways, but I know what you mean.

oh yeah, shes definatly got her own style, i like them both but i would prefer amy
idk i've been listening to amy since like 1999 and im not that old so yeah
but i mean she changed my life and her music and lyrics helped me through so much.
but thats besides the point

It's the same with me, Amy Lee has been a part of my life since I was young..... she'll always be important and special to me, she'll probably always be my favorite singer as well to be honest
I think Lori and Solstice will get there, I hope they do I really do, cause it'd be amazing for them to get a record deal.

I would love to have grown up as a part of the family too, they are very talented all of them...... I hope Lori does succeed soon, but even if she doesn't make it soon, I know she will.

Yeah, I think she's quite unique, not too much like Amy, which is probably just as well cause I can't imagine they'd want to be stuck underneath Amy's shadow forever... Cause they are quite different.

I think with a few more years practice and maybe a demo album, Solstice will be an amazing band, but I don't think they'd ever try to compete with Evanescence or Amy, that would just be a sure way to get yourself a lot of people who dont like you very much....

Haha, yes her name is Lori, but I've just got into the habit of spelling it as Lorrie...
She does sound alot like Amy Lee but she can be quite different sometimes. Err, well seeing as she's a fair bit younger than Amy she probably did start singing after Amy... I don't know for sure, I can't say I'm an expert... Thanks for commenting
