  • What is the barrel length of this rifle! I am looking at the same rifle with the 30" barrel.

  • nice clothes mcfly!

  • .308?

  • Dx: Weak Signal (7) NYC - 104 CPW.

  • Rx: Inglorious Travel - 2011Negras (809).712.CONT./ NYC Ostentatious.

  • BRASILLLLLLLLLLL

    É NOIX !

  • what is the handle called?

  • @gloryfang the grip/handle

  • my grandpa owned an 1880s, but it was stolen when they broke in his house, it was beautiful it had a chrome handle with drawnings on it, he used to hunt with it

  • so it loads the bullet under the barrel like the pump action shotguns? answer pls :D i wanna know :D

  • @xXE4GLEyEXx Loads on the right side.

  • Any modern version with that cool lever still there, this is my favorite rifle

  • You're awesome. Like :)

And the cowboy cloth does it even better :D

  • Red Dead Redemption!

  • judging from the sound return from shot to hit and back again.....you weren't at rifle distance when you shot.

    It's a guess.....but I'd say around 20 to 30 metres. Maybe a bit less.

If your're gonna stand where you can piss on it......why'd you need a gun?

    It's a guess....but you're not a big n tall man are you?

  • That's ten

  • I love this gun.

  • wooow i love that weapon

  • I love USA for this shit

  • thats somegood grouping

  • this reminds me of Winnetoe :P

  • Winchesters are good for starting off, I would go with an Evens repeater too though, better capacity.

  • whats the size of the bullet?

  • @AfKman101 It's a 44-40 winchester its about to the size of a 44 magnum but with less chamber pressure.

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 how many rounds dose the rifle hold

  • @AfKman101 I think the one he has holds 12 + 1 but thats the sporting rifle. the carbine and the short rifles hold 10 + 1 rounds. so capacity depends on model.

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 hmm, cost? im asking beacuse i have a seller and i just want to know details

  • @AfKman101 I'm really no expert on the cost but once again that would depend on alot of things like what model it is, whether its new or used, if it is used how much, the condition, is it an authentic winchester or a replica uberti, ect I can't really tell you much without more info on the particular gun you want to buy, but the model he has in this video cost about 1000 bucks average. if its the carbine maybe a little less. but remember thats for the ubertis not the authentic winchesters.

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 yea its the one that this guy is using im getting it for around 1200 bucks, we have went to the range and shot it its in mint with engravings

  • @AfKman101 I was gonna say that 1200 is a little high, but if it has engraving that sound like a pretty good deal whats it chambered for?

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 44 if im right

  • @AfKman101 good round. thats the original chambering for the rifle so that adds some historical value as well. expensive though, if you don't reload your going to spend a fortune on shooting that thing. If I can make a reccomendation for a future rifle give the henry golden boy a try it's about 500 buck built great and one of the most accurate rifles I own. and its a 22 so its cheap to shoot, it gives the winchester feel in a 22cal MyHollowpoint has a review up check it out definitely worth it

  • @MUSICALGUNNUT45 hmm ill will check that out

  • He's fast.

  • Only rednecks with a fuckload of guns will survive the upcoming zombie attack, which pretty much means we're fucked.

  • très beau fusil

  • where can you get old collectible firearms like this?

  • this rifle is an american simbol... waehwoaheUWHEAWUHEAW whatever great shooting

  • I love this one

  • Too bad Billy the Kid didn't have an AK47.

  • Thumbs up if you LOVE the WILD WILD WEST

  • But, will it blend?

  • @danieldj94 lol, YES! I want to live in the old west x)

  • @danieldj94 lol damn u i was about to post that comment :( well i guess a thumbs up will do it :D

  • i love the way arnold (cant spell his last name) reloads his repeating rifle in terminator 2

  • i think your a jerrys kid just wanted to throw that out there goob

  • Gun enthusiasts, would this be a good and or cool gun to carry during a Zombie Apocalypse?

Is the ammunition hard to find?

    Easily fixed?

    Problems with jamming?

  • @FleaMaster69 Ammunition isn't necessarily hard to find, it's just really expensive. It's a reliable weapon, but again its an older model, so finding parts in a post zomibe world might be tricky. Jamming is rarely an issue if you keep your weapon clean, which you should do anyway. All in all, I would carry this gun in a supplementary role against zombies. I.E., I would use a semi-auto primarily, but would def keep this in reserve and/or use it to pick off far away zombies just for fun.

  • my favorate gun :D

  • LA QUE ME VOY A COMPRAR ES UN 1873 SPECIAL SPORTING RIPLE - 24,25'' MSRP 1,399 € =D

  • I really want a lever but it's impossible to get a gun license here in Ireland.

  • I'd really like to shoot one of these.

  • The name is "Henry Repeater"

    Jhon Marston

  • @ajan5 no its a winchester. a henry repeater also is a leaver action rifle but the guns are difrend. and is john marston not JHON marston.

  • watching True Grit made me want a gun like this lol.

  • C'est le fusil de cow-boy dans fallout new vegas ;)

  • is this gun powerfull at a good range

  • @seanbarata define "good" the 44 40 is good at 100 yards 150 is about the max range that i would take a shot at a deer with.

  • which bullet is stronger?

  • A tip don't show you loading the gun

  • nice really really nice I live in iceland which makes it almost impossible to get one off those but man I want it

  • This guy looks a complete jerk dressed like that. I bet he thinks he looks cool though.

  • @pingtran In cowboy action shooting (CAS), part of the whole concept is to dress the part. Not sure if he is into CAS, but I do suggest that you know something about the history of this rifle before writing such comments about one's attire.

  • It's not the same sound in spaghetti westerns SPAM TIUUUUUU

  • Okay so I NEED to know. Which would you recommend for killing black and grizzly bears. The 1873 with the .44/40, the 1894 with the .30/30 or .32/special?

  • @mrcummins05 the .30/30 can take down any north american game animal provided that you are within 250 to 300 yards and your shot is spot on. if you are going to go after a grizzly with these rounds I would recommend you bring a friend with a larger gun. Safty first!

  • i have a "94 model,is a hell of a toy.,30-30

  • WHERE DID YOU BUY THAT COOL RIFLE???

    ANSWER PLEASE

  • ¨Hey, nice video, im from Norway and in our home we got 4, 1874 single shot rifles... i dont know what the name off them is..ideas?

  • 10 rounds go into it ?

  • @maciejwrotek 15 to 20

  • god i love the winchester series so much, this is a true gun unlike these "automatics" these days.

  • this is a real cowboy

  • hey rowdy great tube man

  • I love the smell when you fire off the first round on an empty day at the range.

  • HOWDY ROWDY!

  • Holy crap, your accuracy is better than John Marston's.

  • I'm buying an 1873 made earlier than 1890,do you think I can use modern rounds in it without risking something goes wrong?

  • how many bullets can fit in the gun

  • Are these accurate?

  • @7SwitzerlandAustria7 Yes. The Winchester Model 1873 Rifle is extremely powerful, and every accurate. People these days numb their knowledge of guns with games like Call of Duty, but the old west guns were truly the best.

  • Great shooting man and nice weapon shes a beuty

  • I remember my bro's friend let us borrow a red rider BB gun when I was about 10, and I had so much fun with it but THIS IS BETTER!

  • I love lever action rifles. I just got my 1st one about a month ago and it's a winchester model 94 30-30, out of all the rifles I own this is bar far my favorite. I don't know why I love it so much but, if I could, I'd use that for my concealed carry....LOL

thanks for the video Rowdy, I will have to look into Uberti now.. :-)

  • Very nice.. you made it seem very generic :) ... Unfortunatley... back in those days, there wasnt such a thing as "Youtube" haha

  • nice shooting man

  • First of all, this is one fine weapon. After all that time I spend with modern weapons in the army, I wanted to maybe check out some older pieces. And as the winchester's an absolute classic, and after this review, I guess this one will be the first to try. So thanks for that. And by the way youre a great shooter, really nice skills mate!

  • you look like an omish cowboy

  • Comment removed

  • Nice shooting, what state do you live in?

  • My dad have a 1873 44-40 Winchester, Ive shot with it and may I say. Its the best rifle ever made for hunting BIG animals. Smaller animals would be blown up haha :D

  • As far as hunting goes, I know that the 44-40 will take down a deer (Although some believe that it really needs more ftlbf. I was checking into .45 colt hot loads and discovered that a couple of companies make a .45 colt "magnum" that delivers over 1,000 Ft. Lbf. Are these rifles capable of handlng such pressures?

  • John Marston

  • @Pr0lifik Haha, yeah. John Marston from Read Dead Redemption rulez, sadly he dies :(

  • do you know where i can get one of these

  • @corky675 Check out Uberti.com These Guns can be ordered from just about any gun dealer

  • black pounder ?

  • Tommy Gun... Winchester.... luv em both :D

  • hey rowdyfulcher how much do those cost?

  • Its a brilliant gun but id still prefer 2 have a kar98k in my hands than a winchester

  • jesse james gun?

  • Damn I havn't seen a gun that sexy for a while, back where i live and ols winchester(.44) would be around 12 grand.

  • You need to roll around the ground/rocks a bit in that outfit to get it authentic looking. Either that or you could have a horse drag you about the field by rope on the ankle.

  • Beautiful gun, nice shooting partner :)

  • the 1873 is the sexiest rifle ever made

  • .44-40 magnum? Cal? what type?

  • can you loaded with todays bullets ?

  • Hullo Mr. Rowdy, please a question: what do you think regarding the Uberti Winchester 1873 Sporting Rifle Special 24 1/4 " caliber 357 Magnum? Thanks

    *****from Italy

  • niiiice i like

  • America has been conqued by jews.if u doubt it .look up the men, jews, that r in the presidents admin. who controls our fed res. and our treasury.look behind the curtains of power to see who is in control.

  • que roupa mais ridicula!

  • i love this gun down the range wierd feeling knowin u have actually used the weapon unlike em call of duty assholes

  • i want one like that :D

  • @Reaper8365 That makes two of us

  • You see alot of people like that in the south trust me I live there

  • I live in the South and the people I see dressed in this manner are either Historical Re-enactors, or Cowboy Action Shooters, like the gentleman in this video.

Cowboy action shooting participants use firearms of the Western Frontier Era, while dressed in authentic clothing from that era.

Very interesting and colorful to watch!

  • I don't know why the U.S. Army passed up these in favor of the single-shot Springfield. They didn't want troops to waste ammunition but it didn't look as if he wasted any.

  • Because the 45-70 "Trapdoor" Springfield would punch a 405 grain bullet through about 12 inches of pine at 400 yards. The 44-40 lacks that power and range.

With properly working 45-70's Custer would have decimated the Sioux at ranges the 44-40 couldn't touch. Custer was give early copper-cased 45-70 ammo that stuck in the chambers and jammed the Springfields. With only 18 rounds of 45 Colt per back up revolver, Custer was soon out of ammo and over run.

  • Given a choice I think I would have kept my Spencer and Custer probably would have also. In the Army, though, you're not given a choice.

  • The tactical problem with both the Spencer 56-50 and the WInchester 44-40 is that both are short-range weapons, not capable of keeping Sioux, Cheyenne, Comanche, etc beyond arrow range.

Had Custer's men been supplied with brass-cased 45-70 ammo, the tribes would have taken severe casualties well beyond arrow range.

Even a commander as incompetent as Custer would have won the day, with properly operating Springfield 45-70's, and an adequate ammo supply.

  • Marlin and Winchester also each made a lever action rifle in 45-70 caliber.

  • The first Winchester capable of cycling the 45-70 Govt was the 1886; I think the first Marlin capable of cycling the 45-70 was the 1881. The 1876 Winchester action could not cycle the 45-70 Govt, so the Winchester 45-75 round was a bottleneck case capable of similar power, but short enough to cycle in the 1876 action.

  • Also, the 1876 Winchester was just hitting the market when Custer's command was over run on June 25, 1876.

The U.S. Ordnance Dept wouldn't have purchased it anyway, as it was much more expensive than the Springfield rifles, and could not chamber Govt ammunition.

  • thats a lot of smoke coming out on those secound round of bullets

  • Can you get these at Wal Mart?

  • Our local WalMarts don't even carry hunting weapons any more.

  • I collect German WWII machineguns, but if I wanted a true historical weapon from the old west, THAT is the one I'd buy. The low power of the cartridge doesn't matter, the 1983 Winchester is the CLASSIS western rifle. Thanks for your video!

  • Fallout 3 : Lincolns Repeater

  • Point Lookout: lever action rifle

  • this is the rifle that Billy The Kid used this is a legendary rifle.well not really but it kicks ass
