Marseille is not about the beach, Marseille is the unique cultuere of French, Algerian and Moroccan people living together. I lived there for 2 years and I will never forget the people I met, and the feeling of history in the city itself. . My favorite streets were La Canbière and La rue SanFerréol. J'aimerais vraiment y retourner un jour, mais il ne vaut pas mieux chercher de nouveaux aventures?
I'm Austrailian but my grandparents live in Marseille so I go there once a year around end of school holidays its one of my favourite places to be. Still working on the French though I can say some words and understand some but can't really string a good sentence together.
I love Marseille, taking a walk along the cliff tops the air fresh with sweet Pine sap and sea spray down to the 'Calanques' for a dip. I was never so happy.
ok i saw the sea and some boats but what about real marseille, i think to go but i need to see more.can someone tell me if it any good there?is it best city in france?if not what is
'It is a very old city first founded by the Pheoencians 600 years BC. It has all the problems associated with a big city with a large immigrant [predominantly mahgreb] population. It has however a strange charm which despite dog dirty streets draws me back again and again. It is a city not to be missed by the true traveller. Get off the train at St Charles and walk down the Rue Canabiere to the Vieux Port then climb up to the landmark of Notre Dame de la Garde.' Peter D Asige
This is a very intelligent, indeed wise way to live: fresh air, no industrial pollution, eating local food, supporting local business, the sea water and air has healing properties and the French are among the greatest cooks on earth!
I like your speach but I live in Marseille and it is a polluted town and people does not especially eat local food and support local business at all lol!
you talk about country side of France telling this it's ok but not in big cities like Marseille!
Wow, this video brought back great memories of Marseille, dining on fresh seafood, walking down La Canebière and watching the sunset by Vieux Port comes to mind. Another interesting point is the paradox of watching a French woman speaking English while in France.
Thanks Delphine for the stroll down amnesia lane. You have incredible on-screen qualities and I liked the beautiful dress you were wearing at the end at le jardin du Pharo.
