Great wheelies but I just don't get the lack of basic safety gear. Does it make you less of a man? There seems to be a lack of imagination / experience of what happens when flesh hits road. Still, they are good wheelies....

A few experts in the front yard did not think it was possible, and I shut them up!
@T0H0E0G0A0M0E when i was 18 back in college i used to wheelie my mid-'80s Shadow 500. No standups, but I would practice sit-down wheelies in the college parking lots on the weekends. Every day after class i would ride up to the ground level of the subterranean parking lot and as the last level ramp came to the top i would pick up speed and catch some air... Props to the guys riding standups on these bikes 10+ years ago... if its got a clutch and throttle, chances are you can wheelie it.

I've got pictures of him riding perpendicular (laying out over the seat) and standing up backwards........no helmet.....only a kidney belt and real old school boots.

The difference between a wheelie on a Harley and a 2 stroke rice rocket is that your Harley can pull a wheelie at 70-80 miles an hour when thos little crotchrockets ore wound to the end of their power band and ready to burn up. Check out how fast these guys are doing their wheelies. You won't see an mcrosser even hit that speed for more than a few yards

I thought this was very cool. I admire your talent but I'm not happy that you used public streets. Still, I'm curious if you needed to do any mods to your Sportsters before you could do this with them. I ride a full dresser so I won't be doing any of this any time soon but I might like to try in a roped off or otherwise blocked off area.

The most popular touring bike on the market is Harley. People buy them, of course, so they can get stranded 1000 miles from home.
