I loved watching these in the 70s as a kid :-) I bought the CFF DVDs released by Network a few years ago, it's a shame they only released about half a dozen stories. Thanks for uploading this!
How did you get hold of this? i didnt think an of the CFF filsm were out on VHS or dvd? Its good to reminisce over some of these. I remember seeing one where some kind of head in a box spoke to the kids..i think it was kept in a shed or something?..freeaked me out when i was a kid ! does anyone know what it was c alled?
@Russell230870 Hi, some of the CFF films were released in a DVD collection but only a selection and unfortunately Black Island was not one of them. This was taken from a vhs recording which was run through some pro equipment to enhance the picture when they were being transfered to dvd personally a few years back.
@Russell230870 Saw proof that it was recorded off air (VBI shows the teletext signal digits at 03:15). Bloody good VHS recording though. I remember BBC1 transmitted them all in summer 1989, and BBC2 again on Sundays, December 1990.
@tsangari yes it was a vhs recorded off air around 1990 and that tape was used for the capture through the pro equipment. It was a shame that there was a small crease in the tape at that point at 03:15.
yeah its quality, been years since i saw it, i put up a hitch in time and glitterball, theres some other great ones id love to see again, one where a kid stops time to stop a bomb , i forget its name.
also do u know of a kids film from mid 80's, where this shy kid joins a gang and they break into a house and accidently set the place on fire, as well as let the cockateel out of its cage and generally trash the place,...id love to know the name of it so i could watch it again.
Don't remember this series.
