I never got past this level. I really hated boss battles back then, and seeing that really weird spike-bottomed ship was a bit jilting. Shame really, cause I never realized that the last level of the game was after this one. :<
I found this great game again after 20 years! Downloaded Dosbox and away I went. That flying saucer is sooo hard to get. BTW the easiest way to use Dosbox is to drag and drop the COSMO1.EXE onto the Dosbox shortcut on the desktop.
I would very much like to know, what screen recording software did you use? When I try to use fraps, it doesn't recognize Cosmo because it's an old DOS game.
@HaydenStudios I used DOSBox to play the game (as it doesn't run natively under modern Operating Systems), and DOSBox contains a built-in recording function. Have a look here for instructions - dosbox.com/wiki/Recording_Video
wow i loved this back than!! the colors and sound where so great to me than.. especially that sound of those crashing boxes! loved it ... still loving it!! ^^
Ahhh...that level seemed epic to me back in the day...
You know, this was one of my first video games ever. And even years later when I played Mario and realized all the things that Cosmo had stolen (Boos, Thwomps, etc), it was still a great game. If anyone who programmed this is reading my comment (cause you never know), thanks for all the fun!
Awesome job man! Cosmo rules! I loved this as a kid, and wish I had had the other episodes too. Btw don't you know that you can jump inside the tulip thing and get launched up in the air just like the rolling parachute creatures?

i just completed it myself with only 3 bars of health.. how to you get the 4th and 5th one?

4th one is hidden in level 5, inside of a crashed spaceship. It's a hamburger.
5th one is near the end of level 9, you have to take the upper road and jump on the plateaus to the end of the level, there's a hamburger in a box.
