  • the only kinda hard part on this boss perfect dark gaia is when you gotta press X x60 i mean what the fuck is up with that

  • i got his game on wii and i thought from lookin at this vid that the answer why this was better was WHY THE FUCK WOULD SEGA MAKE A GOOD GAME FOR NINTENDO?!

  • This part was fun. It was easy too. The only hard part is part 1, which is when you control chip then sonic 3 times.

  • I'm talking out the sequence where Sonic turns into a werehog for the first time.

  • Rhthym & Hues Studios did the opening sequence part, probably.

  • 3:40 FALCOM PUNCH!!!

  • yall crazy if you think the wii/ps2 version is harder than this one...

  • I had troble beating him in wii

  • I have the Wii version.... and from all the videos i have seen.... the WII leaves ALOT to be desired... and when i say ALOT. I'm under stating it... ALOT! because thats the way I roll.

  • I played Live and learn of my console while doing this. EPIC.

  • I found this boss harder and more enjoyable on the wii verison

  • Hey Overhazard, What final boss song you like most? Perfect Dark Gaia or Egg Nega Wisp?

  • @KirbyDude10001 Egg Nega Wisp. But I'm not too fond of either.

  • by this point you dont question why things are in certain areas in sonic games, who cares if theres railing in outerspace or rings in the center of the earth or that perfect ledge to land on after a 50 foot drop its sonic. Doing the barely imaginable since childhood.

  • Someone tell me why there are rings in the center of the Earth. On the Gaia Colossus, I can understand, but here? That's just.......meh.

  • the ending is ... weird ?

  • look person there were over 100 rings there between the rocks . i would know i beat it

  • @jonmaxham Yes, I found out later. I never noticed the Rings when I played this.

  • @jonmaxham what? thats gonna save me a lot of trouble

  • Holy shit u gotta press x 60 times!

  • FALCON PUNCH

  • go super sonic

  • Dark Gaia Just got King Hited by a FREAKING HUGE 7 Temple Humanoid Thing Controlled by Chip (light Gaia) is this not a awesome ending to a boss

  • I honestly dont see how jason improved in unleashed.

He sounds like ass most of the time.

    Japanese voices ftw

    good job btw

  • Id like to have a word with whoever decided if you lose all your lives you have to start from the beggining with the werehog.

    Stupid decision.

Once you get to super sonic, you should just be able to keep playing if you lose all your lives.

  • Is it just me, or this is the hardest final boss battle in Sonic history? Do you know how many times I died playing this?? >__<

  • @Burblez I'd say the hardest one is the final boss of Sonic 2 (16-bit) as Knuckles. His jump is just high enough to reach the Egg battlesuit's claws.

  • @Overhazard I'd say the hardest one is the Wii version of this boss.

  • @Lukethehedgehog1 i agreea 100% the wii version was harder.

  • @Sorrowthewolf210 I have both versions and I only completed the 360 one. I always get killed when going to hit the middle eye, those cursed boulders keep hitting me >_<

  • @Lukethehedgehog1 lol, to took me forever to beat the wii version. till i had to ask for help from my little bro... xD

  • @Overhazard I can't even kill the thing as Sonic OR Tails, let alone Knuckles!

  • @Overhazard the real hardest sonic boss is lancelot returns

  • @Burblez , yeah it was hard for me too, but I could beat it, sonic heroes final battle, I suck in that level, and never beaten the game cause of the final battle.

  • @Burblez It's pretty easy now if you drill yourself for an S rank. The flaming rocks Dark Gaia throws follow a pattern. I think Solaris was the hardest boss I ever fought, followed by either this boss or Metal Overlord. Devil Doom from Shadow the Hedgehog has to be the easiest. Finalhazard from Sonic Adventure 2 is the 3rd easiest, and Perfect Chaos is the second easiest, but even the second half of that fight can be hard now and then.

Mission 53 & 54 in Sonic Adventure DX were the hardest T_T

  • @Burblez I managed to complete this game on my first try and didn't find it too difficult. But I think it's because I already played loads of Sonic the Hedgehog games before so I think it really depends on how good you are at sonic games in my point of view, but I could be wrong. ;)

  • haha i love how you were completely unaware of the rings at the beginning, yet you still beat him. nice job :P

  • @ragekage209 Yeah, it wasn't until other people told me there were Rings. It robably made getting an S-Rank a LOT harder.

  • damn, i were on the last snake that had only one health. then perfect dark gaia started to send meteors at me, i panicked and ran right into a meteor -.-

  • Dunno about the others but sometimes I replay this fight just to see that epic punch of 3:41

  • serius

  • also, 3:41 ...

    FALCON PAWNCH!

  • 1:51

    IM FIRIN' MAH LAZAR!

  • Dow you have XBOX LIVE. I'm just wondering.

  • Yes, I do.

  • Me to, maybe you can post some XBOX LIVE videos.

  • Of what?

  • Will, what dow you got?

  • Just take a look at my playlists to see for yourself.

  • Once you beat the game can you skip to the battle with Perfect Dark Gaia or not?

  • No, you always have to play both in a row.

  • You didn't gather any rings at the start of the battle and you still beat him. Fantastic job!

  • holy shit!

the 360 version of perfect dark gaia is easier!

the wii version, u hav to attack all of its eyes

  • This is definitely not easy--it's sometimes hard to tell when a snake tentacle thing will pop in or out of the force field, and Perfect Dark Gaia's attacks take a big chunk out of Sonic's health meter.

And you have to do everything near perfectly and as quickly as possible to get the S-Rank.

  • omg how did you get 96 lifes!?!?!?!?!?! 5/5 star and subbed. plz, someone tell me how to press the X Button 60 times.... my dad has to do it for me.

  • There's no trick to pressing the X button 60 times. Well, I guess my past experience in ario Party helped.

I got a lot of lives by playing this game a lot. There are so many 1-Ups scattered about that I gain lives simply by finishing stages.

  • thanks for the reminder.

  • By the way, your Alleys of Spagonia request is already up if you haven't seen it already. You can request something else now.

  • 3:42 PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Okay, am I the only one who thinks the gameplay at 1:00 is a LOT like NiGHTS? Like, a LOT? I mean, you can even make paraloop-looking things!

  • Am i the only one who thought, "IMMA FIRING MAH LAZER" at arond 3:30?

  • No, you didn't. At least one person above you in the comments list did.

  • epic

  • The life bar throw me for a loop because I am always expecting a decreasing ring count for the super sonic fights.

  • For this version of Perfect Dark Gaia, there are rings that Sonic can collect to boost his life bar. (They aren't found in the far top though.) Much like the rings in regular Sonic stages, they can be swept up in Sonic's slipstream when boosting.

  • I love the background music-- Endless Possibility, if I'm not wrong. Lovely song. ^_^

  • your right but it's a remix of the song

  • @LadyMiir THIS VERSION ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY, is it that epic OR WHAT?!

  • How much DID they dumb this down for the Wii?

  • Wow! You beat Perfect Dark Gaia without collecting any rings! That's surely an herculian task! But... you didn't collect them on purpose or were you "afraid" of the rocks? XD

Also, what's Sonic suppossed to do at the end?

  • I wasn't even aware there were Rings. Every time I played this part of the game, I never noticed any.

Yes, I aways steered clear of the rocks. I went to the upper portion as there are much fewer rocks there.

  • You might want to see other video then because every video i went I saw the rings.

  • The videos I saw didn't. I guess I just happened to find the few that didn't.

  • See 1stkirbyever perfect dark Gaia video and it will show you were the rings are.

  • I've seen a lot of his videos, but I haven't seen his Perfect Dark Gaia video.

I've noticed the Rings since then though. Other people have pointed it out to me.

  • ok the part where they call every freakin final boss perfect is stupid because if the were perfect they would be indestructible so yeah thats stupid

  • It's actually not that difficult. You're always asked to press the X button, so I readied myself for it. Well, it's not that difficult for me anyway. For some people not used to button-mashing, it's probably very difficult.

  • This part of Dark Gaia looks easier than this part on the Wii version, but it has a lot of interesting cut-scenes during battle and maybe this is harder than it looks. I'm sure it is. You made it look easy.

  • It's actually not easy. I lost about 30 lives on this part the first time playing through it. Perfect Dark Gaia's attacks are devastating, not to mention the rocks stuck on the force field that show up out of nowhere because you move so fast.

  • The part where you start ramming those snakes really felt like playing NIGHTS XD

  • thankz for making this vid!

  • nice job OH. I got S-Rank the other day on this fight,so again, thanks.

  • you make this game look really easy

  • Deceptively easy in my opinion.

  • How'd you get 96 lives?

  • Hey, Overhazard. I think the reason sonic only has "3 hit-points" is because you didn't pick up any rings on the way to Dark Gaia. During the section where you're flying towards the force field (the one with the "sperm-like" enemies) there are actually rings scattered around in cylinder-like formations. These fill up sonic's life bar so he can take more hits. Great video, though. Especially considering how you conquered Dark Gaia with such a low health count.

  • There are!? I've never noticed them this entire time. I was always wondering why Super Sonic had such a low life bar when they could've just represented 1/3 of the bar taken off with each hit.

Where are they? Are they behind the rocks? I looked through this video again and still couldn't find any.

  • I believe that you'll start to notice some if you don't move Super Sonic in any direction (other than forward) at the start of this phase. Don't worry if you can't reach them normally; boosting will attract nearby rings to you.

  • I should try that then. I don't really see any though...

  • My Opinion If There Was Only 1 Version 4 all consolse that they could combine wii version and xbox 360 version boss mode 4 this like in the wii version u just have 2 hit its eyes and this version ends wen u get in front it could be like that

  • Well im thinking the wii could probably been like this but with less better graphics but the PS2 no chance

  • They're tentacles with heads.

  • 60 times, actually.

  • 360 version of this fight is much better. first, you're not poking any more stupid eyes.

second, I love how chip is helpful in the perfect dark gaia fight. I also like how sonic and chip are working together, and how sonic has to save chip from the death lazor.

dark gaia's a firein his lazoooor!

    3:28 - BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

    lol couldn't resist XP

  • Oh yeah, that's right--the Wii/PS2 version had the two of them working largely independently of each other.

  • i love the music

  • Why is the 360 version different?

  • I know, I don't see why the versions had to be different in anything other than graphics, IMO.

Although I much prefer the way this fight works in the Wii version.

  • i think its because since the 360 can actually hold more "detail" than the PS2 and Wii, it can be more better looking with graphics and more of a story line...
