Barioth did swap in for tigrex, barioth is no where near as aggresive. Barioth was a copy of Nargacuga. Maybe you've fought Black Tigrex, but G-rank makes him look easy.

Don't attack Tigrex in rage mode except after he jump-attack two times (taunt follows)

When he's not enraged, the most easy way to hit him is roll when he charges in, go to a side and start charging / attacking until he rotates and put its head next to you (attack is gonna follow fast).

See some guide, I killed with Greatsword easily, but first time I fought I thought it would be impossible.

I learned that he's a push-over with a LS, rage mode or not, you notice a pattern in his movements just hack at him as he turns to you then roll to the side, or under his arms and just repeat.

tigrex is more powerful for many reasons.

1.tigrex although does not excel at flight can fly.

2.even with no breath attack, tigrex makes up for it by hurling 3 large boulders at its enemies.

3.if rathalos and tigrex were to have a charge battle, tigrex would just do what he did to the popo.

Lol i feel your pain buddy i have the same game and it took me forever to kill him my hardest foe and i mean hard. i think harder then the elder dragons cuz i didnt have much trouble with them, and may i suggest something? Eager cleaver and Blango Armor Start with a Iron Katana and upgrade it. Or go ahead and u ur ravager blade its good too whatever u prefer dont hit it in rage mode unless he jumps twice Im rooting for ya :D
