Well, son, it's 2011 now and the homo is still considered a disgusting minority by most straight males, in particular. Females are easier with it, usually, but no one really understands it unless they've been there ... as you found out with your sisters.
Great job on the video and the honesty you shared!!
There's a really good book:"coming out straight" of Richard Cohen. You should definitely read it, it will probably give you a new way of looking your homosexual tendencies. Everybody is born heterosexual.
You know what man fuck all these people saying your wasteful, your no good, you a fag etc. fuck em just be yourself man, never and I mean never be ashamed of your sexuality so what if your gay personally I'm a straight guy but I was raised not to judge people. Anyway wanna be youtube friends?
@DMMMhelper1of3 So come on Mr DMMM - tell us about yourself. Tell us about your fulfilled and happy life as a heterosexual male, so we understand what it is we should be aiming for. :-)
@DMMMhelper1of3 aw c'mon. you can tell me. i am a nice guy. and besides i live a long way away across the atlantic so i'm not gonna jump on you or anything. :-)
I love you so much you tell it like it is. and yes im not out yet and i know exactly what your talking about. there is so much i would like to say but theres a limit on here. haha. anyway, im just like you. thank you. your so cool.
I felt your emotions of happiness of coming out in this video because I felt the same emotions of expressing my coming out and glad of having all that weight off my shoulders.
Thanks for sharing your life with us and always remember to share your smile.
Yea, mine was not planned at all what so ever, i didn't chose when i came out, and i was not planning to come out for a few other years! But it just happened. So i was not prepared in any way, but it's one of those things i don't think you can ever be completely prepared for, because there's no perfect way to come out, it just happens.
I wish I was brave enough to tell my family, all of my friends know and they support me. My brother knew of a relationshp I had with a guy and he completely disapproved and told me how could I do this to my parents. After that relationship ended we have never talk about my love life and I belive he has the hope that I'm not gay anymore. My other I think is not aware. I'm really scared since my whole family is christian and the absolutely disapprove homosexuality.
i completely understand how u feel in this; i am kind of in the same boat--im terrified of coming out to my parents, and ive only come out to my two best friends and an old friend of mine...im terrified of coming out to my family and just want to disassociate myself from my family
my friends love me all the same, they really made me feel like ppl care about me; it went well...i love my two friends and almost choked, but i did it
Good Job! If this keeps up you can show the world that homosexuality is not wrong. I am straight, but I have a gay friend that came out. It wasnt easy for him eather. This took alot of courage Good Job!
Wow - I see that it still brews up a lot of emotion in you. Thank you for sharing this with us. Allow me to give you a big hug of support. Love yourself
Thanks man, for sharing your story. It's miles away from movie stories. I have nothing against movies, but I agree with you when you say that they often omit the day-to-day experience of people grappling with their homosexuality.
You're totaly right, coming out is like the best thing that u can do, it makes u feel so released and happy when u realize that is not a big deal... I'm 22 and I came out to everybody when i was 19, I never had inconvinients about that, my whole family was cool with it, althought there were some feminine stereotypes... My mother was like, I love u however u're but I had a man and want a man not a girly boy. lol well that's not been a problem since im not a girly actin man.
thanks for this video, its really helped me. I know exactly what you mean about all the feminine stereotypes, all my friends were shocked when i told them because i'm not girly or anything like that. i still need to tell my parents and im so scared. thank you :)
Good luck, I've been ther & done that. Mine went well for the most part. All my friends were shocked too, I'm not feminine at all and no one knew. I had girlfriends and all, but I had to be true to myself at last. In the end, I didn't loose a single friend. It's a scary thing to do, but it gets easier every time. Email me if you need to talk, I'll help. I've been there, I know how it is.
if you want to see a tv show with the more realistic side of life than you should watch south of nowhere...thank you for your video i still need to come out to my parents and my sister and all my friends...but i am terrified...i have been feeling like i like girls since about 6th or 7th grade and i am now a sophmore...so thank you...i think i will tell my parents soon!
Thank you so much for sharing your opinion, view about this and for sharing your story, it takes courage to come out, and it takes a lot of courage to talk about it on the internet as well. I'm glad that you've been able to come out!
Good for you. You seem a very genuine, kind and sincere young man. You are certainly not a flamboyant and effeminate gay man. In tv and films it is annoying the way gay men are mainy portrayed like that. Looks wise, you are also v hot too. You have alot to offer in life, go for it man.
I admire your courage, but I have to disagree with you on one point.
The media has broken down so many barriers and homosexuals in the news isn't as much of a taboo as it once was. Look at the shows like Will & Grace and Ugly Betty, which have gotten so much praise and awards. As The World Turns had the first gay couple storyline in the history of soap operas.
We are breaking down barriers and as a gay teenager I am proud to say that.
I'm really glad you chose to come out. I myself am in the same position and it isn't fun. I personally stopped believing in god almost just because of this ridiculous belief that homosexuality is a plague. It's ridiculous how homosexuality isn't justified in schools since it is completely normal and actually common for most people to have homosexual thoughts.
Excellent video, Chris. I applaud you for doing this. Coming out is certainly not easy, but if people watch you talk about your experience, it might give someone the confidence they need to come out. You're awesome, man!! :-)
Thank you so much, you've really helped me get through this hard time, youve inspired me to be strong and not let media or Steriotypes get me down. I am Who I am And No-one can Change me

We all have our own tale to tell. I commend you on making this, but the reactions you are getting aren't that uplifting. People judge on youtube, are you sure this was appropriate. I understand your motives, but this isn't the best idea for youtube. But, honestly look at some of these comments "you're hot" is this what you wanted?
I really want to thank you for sharing your story. Some of us still haven't come out, and stories like this really do help. Knowing that others have done it can provide courage where it might be lacking. Thank you.
Hey Chris, Your are great, I wish there was something like youtube when I was young and hideing, now I'm old and still hideing but vidios like this make me want to come out.
I'ts a little late for me, but I'm glad your there for the younger guys going thru this, you are way more intelligent and wise beyond your years,,,,thanks for being there for the next Generation...Ballucanb1
i don't think it will ever be too late to come out, no matter how old you are..chris says it's a wonderful feeling to tell someone finally after all the years, i'm straight, but when my best friend came out to me i was very proud of him for doing so.
but i do agree with you in the long run, i like watching these videos because they're very inspiring.
if i was gay(god forbid) and i told people, i think they would probably just laugh at me. im gonna try that as a practical joke. i can see it in the paper now "young boy changes the world of comedy as we know it". no offense i think being gay can easily be avoided. theres no shame in being gay and yet people make a huge deal out of it. quit complaining if your gay for attention or actually gay it doesnt matter just go on in life. who cares if people dont except you you r who u r.
You truly helped me and I want to thank you for taking the time to talk about the issue. Your fortitude is inspirational. I can't thank you enough. You are the fist person in my life I can relate to and you helped me know what to expect in the future. Don't change for anyone; your genuine character is an ideal role model for young men.
I bottled so much anger up for so long it almost destroyed me, and all because i couldnt face myself it wasnt everybody it was me i couldnt face. every time a woke up or went to work i was judgemental. What would ppl think .Then suddenly one day i dont know what happen, but i woke up saying im me and im a good person, took me a long time and i wasted a lot of my life trying to live as ppl expected. it is so nice not be a liar.
Wow. 27 and still in the closet. Just started watching your Coming Out Story, its very noble of you to put your life out like that for the world to see. I find your story very motivating and I am sure that many other people do too!
Hi, I can relate to how u feel. I am still in and im 16 I think im going to come out in a month or 2, I love this video.Thank you for making it =p . If any wants to talk to just right me, but im not a sex active person.
Bless you for doing this, I'm sure it will make a big difference to a lot of other young people in your situation. Here's looking forwards to the day when no kid has to go through this pressure and angst anymore and being gay is just as normal as being straight!
Honestly, thanks for taking the time to do this. I've been out not even a year yet, and you're describing exactly what it feels like. Plus it's a pleasure to watch cuz you're cute! You don't happen to live in North CA, do you? haha.
I came out in 1980, with parents from the WW2 generation...my parents never stopped loving me, I have a gay sister too...2 of us of 8 kids..my folks loved us all Equally!
Wow..ur great..hey do u have yahoo messenger? Hope to chat wif you..I'm having second thoughts in coming out..not sure if i need to,you think you could give me more advice?
This is a great video as well as the first one of this series of yours. You made some points I had not even considered when I came out several years ago. Thanks Chris. Stay cute ;)
I am much older than you, and my coming out experience took far longer because of the time frame I grew up in. But your video is an inspiration to younger people who need to know they aren't alone and that the coming out proccess is one of great relief and personal growth. If only I had a YouTube and a video likes yours when I was younger... Good luck to you
Hello There, Have you got msn or yahoo messager? I love to talk to you and getting to know you more looking forward to hearing from you Take Care Stewart xox
hey if anyones having problems coming out i also suggest that you watch uk soap "hollyoaks" with the story of john paul's coming out and then his relationship with craig, theres a youtube user called da33431 who has videos that cover the whole storyline
Hey did you said 3007??? well maybe you didn´t (english is not my native language). Anyway, your video is great! thank you for sharing, btw you are very cute. best wishes.
i know exactly what you are talking about. we are not taught to deal with how to come out it's something we find out on our own. it sucks but that is how it is
aw thanks for posting this story, ive been thinking about coming out for about a year now, its been a very tough year on me and i feel completely alone because no one knows anything im going through. your video was great thanks
Don't give up. Ever. Don't let society win. Keep pushing on and show your courage to the world. The strength it takes to do that is unreal. Believe me, I can relate. Its hard. But nice video.
You should watch "As the World Turns" Soap. This show is playing the angle of someone discovering they are gay and the battle of them trying to be straight with gay feelings. Noah protrays a teen that has feelings for a guy but is trying to live a straight live to please his family and girlfriend.
i absolutely loved your story and your advice. it helps so much to know that other people have had this experience, have had similar views, similar emotions...i'm not out yet, but you give me hope. thank you, thank you, thank you...
I can remember, wow man! That was something heavy to carry around alone. I felt a big relief too when I shard with someone else this part of my self , because yes I am not only gay I'm lot more then that... lol your sisters tough you were going to start cross dressing !!
Hey, I would just like to say thank you. Lately I have been watching videos on others coming out to their family so I could do it on my own. I would like to say you are one understanding and intelligent person. Thank you for all your help! lol that sounded strange but I mean it!
Thank you for posting this. I'm coming out as well; a difficult process, but I can relate to your story. I also like to hear how your parents took your coming out.

Thanks!

Bless you for doing this, I'm sure it will make a big difference to a lot of other young people in your situation. Here's looking forwards to the day when no kid has to go through this pressure and angst anymore and being gay is just as normal as being straight!
