Is this set discontinued , because on Forbidden Planet's website, it's out of stock. I don't know whether that means it is out of stock or it's been discontinued. Also when I went to Forbidden Planet London Megastore, they said they were out of stock, so it seems I've been left in the air, basically, has it been discontined and when did it get released? If you use a hair dryer to soften the plastic you can bend it back into shape. My Stolen Earth Davros' back brace and head brace were all bent out of shape but when I softened the plastic back into shape with a hair dryer the plastic reformed itself all on its own. I didn't have to do any bending or twisting myself. You could try that with your Davros figures.

@09CGearyk The remembarance set is very good, so if you want an entirely new sculpt of Dalek (Special Weapons Dalek) then you should go for that set, but if you want a Davros and a Tom figure then I'd reccomend you go for the Genesis set. :)

Of all Davros Sets, here's my rating of them :

Genesis : Good

Destiny : OK

Ressurection : Good

Revelation : Buy this one! You get more value in my opinion

There was a Dalek with a silver gun, but he's only visible in certain pictures and they got it wrong! He's got a silver ball joint too.

Great review. I have a Dapol Davros figure from the late 1980s (not the one with two hands) and the detail in that was remarkable consider it wasn't made to the same quality.

NONE of the Daleks has a silver gun. The Daleks don't have ranksz yet, they are the Daleks, their master is Davros, no commanders or Supremes or Emperors yet.

I'm quite disapointed with my Genesis set...Davros, Tom and the Genesis dalek with the bronze gun was all fine...apart from Davros' shoulder piece which is partially hanging out. The second variant of the dalek's eyestalk was bent, and now I cannot bend it back, I suggested boiling water to put it back to its original shape. What do you suggest? The quality control on these are absolutely crap! *Excuse my french*, for some strange reason, I can't wait for the Destiny set to come out though!

Saw several "Genesis" sets in Dublin shop. All had a problem with the rightmost Dalek's eyestalk: bent round in a complete U shape, and kept that way by the supposedly supportive clear plastic packaging; also, many classic Daleks have paint-splashed irises, i.e. the focal point, the eye, looks poor. This is a great pity, as the sculptors seem to have done their best to make the Daleks look authentic. Really wish CO could make more effort at QC. 46 Euro, these sets= expensive.

Great review mate! As far as i can see no grey guned dalek in Genesis, so it's just CO taking creative license i think... So CO gone back to normal then with QC:( CO must be made up of drunk people who are in a hurry :-/ .... Like the little scene recreation of the Dalek Mutant thingy ma bob! Again great review, lookign forwrad to Destiny!

Good review and bloody quality control!!!! just to point out there were problems with the Revelation Set when I got mine it had a cut on the hemisphere, not too sure on weather to get this set yet, am going to leave it for a while as im getting abit bored with dalek sets (time to move on character) and i would much prefere if they released the both daleks the same and that the 4th doctor was in blazer rather than duffle coat, but hey-ho ill get it some day :) great review 10/10

Fantastic review bats as always, I hope this doesn't go out of stock on FP before I get some money put towards it :-). Still not impressed there keeping the hatch that pops out...works on Molloy's Davros, doesn't tend to work on the others so much. But, we have one thing to blame...COSTS!!!

On the second dalek, I don't believe it did appear in the story. Obviously just an odd mish mash.

the ever increasing lack of acuracy is really starting to irritate me... I remember a time when almost every figure was at least sufficiently accurate, but not any more. And I don't remember the QC issues being such a roblem before either, I've started scrutinising every figure before I buy it now, I never used to do that beyond a quick glance...

I can't wait to get this and the 4th Doctor screwdriver. I have to wait until June for my birthday as I don't have much money. A great review once again. I loved the title scream bit; rather amusing. You've given me an idea for a scene recreation. I thank you. This'll be the first set with classic daleks that I get. Finally, some daleks that aren't a garish gold - a colour that by my standards tastes revolting.

I find the Karled Accessory insulting. It looks a bit like a New series karled. It was wonderful when you zoomed into Toms face and did the scene from Genesis. YES I totally agree There is always a Bloody Delay. I remember waiting months after release. I think the worst was when I waited 6 months for a Red Controlled Dalek from The Movies with Cushing. Don't you ever complain about Q.Ctrl. I like your line

A good review. I take it that "Contagion" should be back on schedual now. Your review on the Destiny set should be fun with all of the Tom figure's faults! I'd have thought it would be a no-brainer to re-release the suicide bomber in the set instead of just the grey one.
