Yes this bass is a rare Wal double neck. Wal made about half-dozen of these that I've counted. The inline headstock shape is the same used as Jonas' other black Wal, regular 4 string, which was also a single pickup.

the unisono intro is composed. then john is improvising over D dorian mixed with some blues scale, but remember every note fits if you have taste, these two have got it !
