@kenizzyny i put it in just lke u said, above Main and i pasted everything. but it messed up my controlls, now i dont know what does what. the control pad no longer identifies movement and the H key is accept while F is decline, and the ASDW are the movement now. i dont understand these controls, can u help me get them back to normal?
I really wont be able to do that because I tried taking all the attack related code out of the script but computer said no. I would much rather program the game using the events.
U know how to assign button keys this way dont u? Because I tried the conditional branch method like - when B is pressed shake screen. but nothing happens :(

I do want to make my own script of course. But to do that I must implement script from other sources. So far I have harnessed the jump. In order to do the sword element I think I only have to concider.. The player sprite and the enemy sprite.
Like if press x change graphic to sword slash. If enemy is touching while sword slash graphic is true then subtract like 10 hit points or somthing 4rm enermy depending on attack strength.
@PressX2Attack Make an event that changes the graphics of character and give him an item called attack or something when you push "X". When the graphics will be animated set it for few sec and then make event that will take away that item. MAke event called enemy and set it for player touch. Set a conditional branch, if player has item "attack" then show attack animation and lower its HP. I set the hp as some variable and when its less then 1 he dies. Thats how I make my battle system.
The system is OTT! It looks good but it doesnt play very smoothly. No substance to the sword play. The hud was a complete mess. But I liked the look of the levels and characters.
I want to make a game from srcach with no or little trace of xas. All I want to do is extract the hack n slach script and perhaps improve on it.
@PressX2Attack if you want to do that then make your own script because the hack n slash isn't just a script its a combo of scripts, events, graphics, variables, and switches its everything used together

hey how do you make enemys with your custom spells? i can do an enemy with the default spells but when i create a spell and put an enemy to shoot that the game gives me an error and shuts down.
well already fixed that it now works ^^' all the morning testing, but i have another error now, so how do you make custom spells for the hero? i already know how te create spells(and that actually work but with the enemy shooting it) but i can't create spells for my hero, whenever i create the spell i do everything i make the tool customize the rute then i make the script define the tool id and when i go to game too test it i put the skills menu and i'm not able to equip it =(.

well there's a few ways. 1. edit the XAS game itself just delete all the maps and copy all the monsters and paste them (just dont delete the very first map) 2. open xas and then open youur game and copy all the files (i have a video showing how to do that its called updating xas)

I got it to work on my map. Copy N pasted the pictures,sounds,icons. But wht I did not do is copy your system tools, etc. your data. I just had to leave the maps out of it thts all.
Now I have a new problem. I did this on my old backup file. which means.... I have to do this all over again <.< manual.....copy n paste...everything...........the animations......the swords...sniffle* at least i can do it fast now o.0

I come to this once again I did it all copy'd my game pasted it on XAS_Hero_3_3 which is your latest! - When I delete ur maps and set mine in stuff goes wrong =\ like it says missing Map045 etc. -.- =\ Data

I tried many things so far, such as delete-n your maps putting my data in the game/graphic/audio folders etc. deleted ur maps put my maps in order. But the system aint there - or the mini-sides come up but not the life bar or the picture of norman. nothing. Im wondering maybe its only set on the XAS_Hero only and id have to do something else.

Its a cool battle system pretty much all you have to do is have custom sprites and all... just download his game and open it with RPG Maker XP and you can borrow his scripts and use them to your own accord but the battle sprites umm that for you to work on your own all it is is a walking sprite and the weapon sprite moving to aside i checked it my self
you really need to mae a batter tutorial this just shows us what it does and it looks bad ass but idfk where the fuck to get it. this wasn't for the win you lost

hmm... are you adding the spell to the event or to the monster in the database? because you have to put it in Monsters tab in the database

This demo is flashy, but you can do the same whit Blizz ABS and it doesnt lag that much because its better programed and has a smarted AI ..

I think I tried that already, I deleted your maps. but than that deleted your data I guess. and I copy n pasted my maps over slowly.
Than again that was my first try than I tried the ID's making up to 44 ID's cause it says it did not have ID 44 or something ... uhm I tried manual. copy n paste ur script on my backup so I dont have to restart. Failed overdrive, sword, shield, items did not all work:S - Anyway it seems il just start a new game. but before I do Il try something else. :L *THINKS

Ok how you install the script is simple, just copy the Game.rxproj from one of your other games and paste it into the XAS_Hero_2 file and just edit over the maps that are there. And how to make monsters just copy them and paste them from the other maps there, just change the sprite.
I come to this once again I did it all copy'd my game pasted it on XAS_Hero_3_3 which is your latest! - When I delete ur maps and set mine in stuff goes wrong =\ like it says missing Map045 etc. -.- =\ Data

Anyway I manualy copy and pasted all the stuff tht was in ur game. script. onto a "backup file" of my own game. I got the shard, and the white space tht turns on the hp on the screen normans there etc. overdrive. thing... its all there now. but iv ran into a few problems.
Overdrive (ALT) - When I press it a syntax comes up telling me the following.
????? 'XAS - SYSTEM' ? 3012 ??? TyperError ????????
nil can't be coerced into fixnum.

Alright, Let me say what I have to say without being excited and posting many comments.
- Iv built a 2 Year RPG Maker Xp Game.
- Battle System/Action System Orginial on there seriously blows.
I want the battle system you see on the video above to become my battle system on my 2-year game.
- From the looks of it, All I have to do is download this game delete the stuff inside (maybe) and continue whatever I want to do. and it will let me use it. ( I think ) ( any way to get on my map?

alright 2 yrs of work. Now I want your battle system. I know you can easily just hand me the code. Er if you knw how to. I want my game to go over yours. although If I wnted 2 restart well I could. Then again I could always try copy and paste- lol.

I tried many things so far, such as delete-n your maps putting my data in the game/graphic/audio folders etc. deleted ur maps put my maps in order. But the system aint there - or the mini-sides come up but not the life bar or the picture of norman. nothing. Im wondering maybe its only set on the XAS_Hero only and id have to do something else.
Well as you see Im very lost. It seems Il just have to wait for you to give me a script or something. Or tell me wht to do <.<

Its a cool battle system pretty much all you have to do is have custom sprites and all... just download his game and open it with RPG Maker XP and you can borrow his scripts and use them to your own accord but the battle sprites umm that for you to work on your own all it is is a walking sprite and the weapon sprite moving to aside i checked it my self
