In one of the obits for Johnny Cash it was said that Kris had gotten a job at RCA in Nashville hopping to meet him as a janitor and give him the song. When that didn't work Kris rented a helicopter and landed it on his front yard. Johnny came running out mad as a hornet cussing kriss out. Kriss just smiled and handed the song to Johnny saying "you'll love this song" and took off in the Helicopter. Johnny thought Kriss was crazy or brilliant so he read the song and loved it.
